Clear bright yellow with white foam head. Aroma is normal pilsener, so is taste. Bit sweet. Nothing special about it, just another German beer brewed according to the rules. (Velp 201401)

500 ml capped bottle, bought at the brewery. Poured in the original Bayreuther Brauhaus tumbler a clear golden-orange coloured Helles with a one finger slightly beige and soapy foamy head that had a long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Sustained carbonation. Some lacing. The aroma is moderate malty, corn, straw and faint earthy hops. The flavour is moderate malty, light fruity with citrussy notes and faint grassy hops. The mouthfeel is light crispy, fizzy and sparkling. This light bodied Helles has a dry light bitter finish. A pretty label but a not convincing ( drinkable but lacking of stuff )Helles from the BBB in Bayreuth. A disappointement.
