Bangla Beer - its name...Bangla is one of the richest languages in the world, as immortalised in poetry by the Nobel Prize winner Rabindra Nath Tagore. Bangla Beer - its colour...the golden hue of the sun setting over the Bay of Bengal. Bangla Beer - its taste...a rich full flavour with an extraordinarily smooth taste. Chamotkar!

Clear golden yellow with white foam head, lacing to glass. Aroma is bit sweet, taste it sweet, little bitter. Short aftertaste. Did great with the Indian food I ordered. (London 201305)

660 ml bottle, as Bangla Premium Beer, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.2%. Very cool design of bottle and label. Brewed and bottled in the UK for LWC Ltd., Manchester, M11 2ER. Pale yellow colour, big white head. Fairly nice flowery aroma. The flavour is rather sweet with noticeable pilsener malts, bordering on "sugary", but not quite there. Some floral notes, hints of alcohol but not disturbingly so. Low bitterness. Not a great beer, but not awful either, should be acceptable to wash down a curry.

Bottled. Yellowish golden colour with huge white foamy head. Strong malty aroma with some fruity hints. Smooth malty flavour which becomes a more sweet malt in finish. A bit caramel in aftertaste. Even better beer for Indian food than Cobra. Good beer to have while "socializing" too.

It is good with curry (taste buds temporarily comprimised), but I wouldn’t chose to drink it otherwise. Golden coloured, mostly mild flavoured, bit of malt, touch of hops, some metal. Much better than Kingfisher, Cobra etc, but still not very good.
