Bottle shared by Melissa that she brought back from Germany, thanks
Clear yellow with a small white head. Aroma of light malts, grainy and honey. Tastes of lager malts, grainy and honey. Nice and tasty, light. -

50cl bottle at Jää-äär, Berlin. Pours clear golden with a white head. Mild malty aroma with slightly fruity notes, hints of grass and herbs. Moderate sweet with a light, but nice bitterness and mild flavours. Surprisingly tasty and quite refreshing.

Bottle: Poured a golden to light amber with a thick carbonated white head. Sweet rich malt aroma. The flavor was similair rich malt, but did finish with a nice fresh grainy taste.

500 ml bottle, from Seven Cellars. ABV is 5.2%. The crowncap had leaked a little during shipping, but most of the content and carbonation was intact. Crystal clear and very pale yellow colour, large white head. Nice sweetish aroma of malts and floral hops. Floral and herbal hops in the flavour, on a background of medium sweet malts. Low bitterness.

Clear pale yellow with small white foam head. Aroma is not too strong, typical German beer. So is taste, a good German beer. Short lastinjg aftertaste. (Velp 201306)

I had this beer at Virtue, Feed & Grain on 25 May 2012. I enjoyed this beer and would happily have it again. It was grainy and a tad skunky smelling. I dug it.

Had this beer many times at the brewery in Munich, very tasty and a good representation of what you'll find for this style. Easy to drink and actually something from this brewer that you can find in the states if you look hard.

Bottle. Poured a clear straw yellow colored beer with a one finger white foamy head that had a good retention. Average carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is grassy hops, grainy, hay and sweet malts. The flavour is sweet malts, well-balanced bitterness, notes of honey. The palate is crispy and very smooth. The finish of this medium bodied beer is mild bitter hoppy. A decent and pleasant Munich beer.

It's average for a dortmunder. Still, when I'm in Munich I have to have one or a few. I guess for an average beer, I really have some fond memories to go along with it. Not bad by any means - worth a try.
