A light fruit ale, made with Maine wild blueberries. As opposed to many of the sweeter fruit beers on the market, our addition of fresh Maine wild blueberries in this light ale yields a subtle blueberry aroma, without the sweet aftertaste. A mixture of the following Mutton malts, pale, crystal, and Munich, are combined with wheat to give this ale its lighter body, and we only use minimal amounts of Target and Willamette hops.

Pours a translucent amber hue with a moderately thin off white head, which dissipated within a minute or so leaving decent amount of lace. The aroma is of arley sweetness, with just a twinge of blueberry. I cannot detect any hops in the aroma. The taste is sweet, blueberry is a little more prominant in the taste than the aroma. Barley sweetness arrives early, blueberry comes in towards the middle, and just a touch of hop bitterness on the back end to help balance things out. The blueberry is most prominant, but adds a touch of sourness that gives the beer a little character. And the hops, although mild, are noticeable and much appreciated. The mouthfeel is light boided and the carbonation a shade low for my preferences.

I'm not really one for fruit beers, but this was ok. It poured a clear amber color with a thin white ehad. The aroma was mild with some malt, and little berry. The flavor had noticeable blueberry and the flavor gave the appearance of fresh beeries, not just a flavoring added at bottling. Finished semi-sweet.

Final beer from the variety 12 pack: Pours a semi clear dull orange colour with a small off white head. Aroma is of blueberries, fresh cut flowers and grass. Taste is initially of blueberries but quickly rolls into grain, water and somethign resembling the end of a blue icee.

Very dark golden orange in color with a thick off-white head. Aroma is strong blueberry and wheat. Flavor is grassy with a mild hint of blueberry and pine. Slightly bitter with a very strong metallic aftertaste.

This beer is pleasantly blueberry flavored but does not taste overly fruity and is not 'sweet'. I like that it still tastes like beer and not a cooler.

1st impression of this beer was that it was too bitter, too artificial, and lacking...but it gets a bit better as you go through them... copper colour..some head/lacing but low...lower quality beer but it's simple and refreshing...

The color is translucent orange amber, like a good oolong tea. The scent is yeasty wheat and light sweet blueberry. The first sip was mildly sweet blueberry over a strong but friendly bitterness. This bitterness mellows and balances to enhance the blueberry flavor, which happily does not overwhelm the beer. Not amazing, but very pleasant.

Well, this started out like a decent fruit beer. Poured a deep orange amber color with a very nice initial head that yielded decent lacing. The aroma was of blueberries, somewhat strong. Some sort of spicing going on. The flavor was blueberries, rather strong, on top of an amber ale type base with ginger and bandaid flavors. Bandaids like the Rogue Chipotle I had, ginger and blueberries JUST LIKE the Sweetwater Blue that I had not long ago. Mouthfeel was moderate to heavy for the style, didn't find this as light as others did. Just didn't come through in the flavor department. (Too much blueberries in there too, even if the ginger toned it down and the bandaids went away.)

A great aroma off the bat, but followed up by a weak flavor and mouthfeel. The taste of blueberries is definitely in there, but this was a dissapointing experience overall.
