About:
I keep my ratings on ratebeer only now--just too much of a hassle to enter them all twice. I've slowed down on rating and trading, and am starting to revisit lots of old favorites to see if they are as tasty as I remember.

La Fin Du Monde is a great name for a beer, so I have to give some points for that. The pour is golden brown with a monster head. The aroma is of some light citrus and spices. The taste is full bodied for sure, but is dominated by coriander--which I just don't like in my beer. Herbal taste in the finish that sticks with you.

I was a little let down after all the build up and the difficulty in obtaining this beer. The Westy 12 poured a very nice dark brown color with a minimal head. The aroma was of dark fruits and herbs. The mouthfeel is spot on and definitely the best part of the beer. The tastes were dark and interesting. I got a good bite when it first hit my mouth that gave way to a very strong herbal taste(almost tobacco). The finish was sweeter and smooth. It had some of that herbal aftertaste as well. I thought this was a great belgian, but I honestly would prefer St. Bernardus 12 or Rochefort 8.

The Widdershins Oak Aged Barley Wine pours a nice dark golden brown color with a tan head. The aroma was of apples, pears and a hint of caramel malt. The taste was sweet and full. The mouthfeel is good, but could be a bit thicker. The flavors were of sherry, and caramel malt. A very good barley wine, but probably over priced.

This is a nice IPA. Very good citrusy hop aroma that floats out of the golden brown brew covered with a nice white head. The taste is a good mix of hops with some malt in the backend for balance. Great example of the IPA style.

I'm not a huge fan of this beer. It poured a nice enough dark color with a good brown head. The aroma wasn't pleasant--so I didn't sniff very often. The mouthfeel is on the thin side for a stout as well. Taste was definitely of roasted coffee and some sort of burnt spice. Not terrible, but way down the line of Dogfish Head products.
