The Ashton Maibock is a very well rounded beer. It has great tastes of Malts and Hops that give it a very balanced feel on the palate. The beer is also unfiltered so it has a nice hazy orange-red colour. Perfect to sit and sip on during the month of May. So sit back and enjoy.

On tap at Quinn's Ale House. Pours very little head and has a light amber appearance. Still leaves sticky lace behind. Aromas of sweet malts and grains. Flavours are fairly fruity, has that soapy hop like flavour on the palate. Some notes of sweet malts, grains and grassy hops. Good retention. Sort of a slick mouthfeel. Faint tartiness in the finish.

Slightly hazy amber colour with a small beige head and decent lacing. Fruity malts (berries, peach, apples), honey and soapy hops. Grainy and fruity malts again in the taste with some typical Ashton hops. Light roasted malt lingers. Decent wet mouthfeel with some nice dryness in the finish. Not sure this is a Maibock, but it is a real good refreshing one. Fruity and well balanced hops and malts.
