This Oktoberfest style Marzen is a favorite at the famous Bavarian fall beer festivals. The distinct toasted malt flavor of this amber lager finishes quite crisp due to the extensive lagering of this beer. One sip and you’ll swear you’re in Munich. "Kipona" is the Indian word for "sparkling water". Each year, over Labor Day weekend, Harrisburg celebrates Kipona with a carnival and festival along the Susquehanna River and on City Island.

Poured a reddish copper color with little to no off white head and no lacing on the glass. Sweet caramel, herbal, light smoke, spicy, nutmeg aroma. Mild taste, chewy malt dominant, very light citrus hop. Taste was watery, and the flavor did not hold up.

To give this brewer an average rating is excellent for them. This beer has a good deal (for a change) of malt in it. Still it is a little light for this style.
