12oz bottle pours with a clear copper body that supports a nice tan head of foam. The aroma offers up some light roasted malts, Anchor Steam like yeasty essence, light pine hops and a sense of Noble hoppiness. Pretty nice but on the malty side. The taste has pleasing echoes of Anchor Steam yeasty esters and malt bill (for me this works well). I get a modest mix of pine and citrus and some earthy spicy hops and then a thin floral hop and Noble hoppiness. The malt bill seems to be a pretty big flavor component here but there’s plenty of hops to keep it in check. A brand new IPA but this seems to me to taste like a classic Anchor brew. Very nice.

355ml bottle into schooner glass. Unusual nose, malt/vinegar but not malt vinegar (if you get my drift). Cloudy copper beer with soapy smallish head. Some carbonation. Intensely bitter taste. Finish is wild! Tannins, earth, pine needles, aspirin and buckets of hops. It lingers long too. It’s 6.5% is hidden under this astonishing bitter barrage. As it warms, it becomes slightly sweeter and fruitier. Interesting.

35,5cl bottle from Vinmonopolet Storo, Oslo. Pours clear deep golden to amber with an off-white head. Fairly hoppy aroma, rather herbal, with notes of citrus, pine, caramel, some tropical fruits and hints of honey. Medium sweet with hoppy flavours and a quite bitter finish. Didn’t feel too fresh, but still quite drinkable. Hmmm, not on top of my list of beer to buy again at least. Fair enough (might be different with a fresher one).

Clean, small off white head with good retention and lacing. Clear, copper/orange brew. Mild nose of grainy malts and slight fruit. Body is almost middlin, soft carbonation. Dry, caramel malts, faint, fruity hps, dry finish with a tame bite.Fairly, Meh. Anchor needs to step up its game and quit the mellow crap. Come on guys, kick it up a notch or two! 355 ml bottle, from Prima Beer, Hobro. ABV is 6.5%. Amber colour, moderate off-white head. Pleasant aroma of tropical fruits (fruity hops), hints of perfume and exotic woodwork, also spicy notes. Hoppy and moderately sweet flavour, notes of grapefruit as expected, but also earthy, spicy and herbal notes, with hints of blackcurrant leaves. Bitter aftertaste. Is this a blend of English and American hops?

Pours clear coppery amber with a very thick buff head that pillows a little. Aroma is not strong, but promises with citrus and hoppy notes. Flavor is bolder, hoppy and malty with some woody bitterness and a little bit of sour citrus. Mouthfeel has OK body and strong, persistent fizz. Get anchored!

Clear copper with light brown lasting lacing foam head. Nice hoppy aroma, bitter taste with little smokey tones. Long lasting bitter aftertaste, good beer. (Velp 201412)

The Aroma was nice. The body was thin, and the taste was not the best. The color was a nice light amber, overall i had higher expectations from Anchor.I would pass on this next time.
