2018 Description We’ve brewed this beer fresh daily since 1986 using all natural ingredients. It is never heat pasteurized and always cold filtered for that refreshing clean, crisp taste, and smooth mellow finish. 2014 Description Crisp and clean, our flagship lager is a golden coloured beer brewed in the tradition of its continental cousins. Using Canadian pale barley, our brewers craft this beer by infusing the malt wort with only the finest aromatic noble hops. After a controlled fermentation with our Danish yeast strain, the beer is chilled and aged until being cold filtered prior to kegging or bottling. The finished product is a very clean and well-balanced hoppy beer without the astringent bitterness of some other European styled lagers. This Blonde is 100% all natural. The bottle pours a very nice translucent gold into the glass with a very loose frothy head that disappeared quickly. The aroma is mildly hoppish with citrus tones. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied with mild carbonation. The taste is a combination of citrus tones, hops, and a little grass.

I've had several Amsterdam products over the years and I can't believe this is the first I've rated. A clear yellow beer with a white head. Lots of biscuit malt and flowery hops in the nose. A rather bland grainy lager that was reminiscent of Canadian craft brewers late in the 20th century.

Pours an extra big foamy white head and has a pale golden appearance. Aromas of wheats and grains as well as light roasted malts. Slight fruity flavours, faint orangey citrus hop notes. Very smooth and easy to drink summer type brew. Medium retention and average carbonation. Pretty good stuff.

Poured a light yellow with white head, nice medium mouthfeel. Overall felt it is ok. Could see myself sitting on the deck regularly with one of these in my hand though.

Not a bad little blonde brew. Colour - clear yellow, white cap. Aroma - grains, floral hops. Mouthfeel - medium. Flavour - grainy malt, some sweetness with a bitter finish. Overall - decent.

Pours a slightly cloudy pale gold color with a small off-white head that fades quickly. Aroma has some nice fresh hops with a fruity character as well. Flavor has a nice malty, slightly sweet start and just a touch of bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is slightly watery however and a bit too thin for my liking.

Bottle: Poured a clear golden color lager with a big pure white foamy head with medium retention and no lacing. Aroma if quite refreshing with a light sweet malt profile. Taste is also quite one-dimensional with some medium sweet malt and very subtle floral notes. This beer was as easily drinkable as it is easily forgettable.

Frothy cap with poor retention. The aroma is rather subtle with some bread and hints of lemon. Mouthfeel is rather tingly with lots of carbonation and finishing light bodied. Flavour profile is malty with a dry combination of citrus and lingering grass tones in the finish. Lagers are not anywhere near my preferred style but this one did the job.

This beer defines average. It looks like your average lager, it smells like your average lager, it tastes like your average lager so I'll mark it as an average lager.
