330 ml capped bottle bought at the brewery. Poured in the original Alvinne stemmed tulip glass an unfiltered strong hazy and rich-burgundy coloured Oud Bruin with a two fingers beige creamy foamy head that had a long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Low carbonation. Poor lacing. The aroma is sourish riped fruits, cherries, berries. The flavour is sourish fruits, cherries, notes of coffee beans and ashes, some acidity, faint roasted malts. The mouthfeel is obviously sour and very smooth. This medium bodied Ale has a dry sourish finish. A superb and very refreshing Oud Bruin from Moen , in the suburb of Kortrijk, about 20 miles away from Oudenaarde, the beercity where the style finds its origin. I like it.
