Pours clear amber with a thick and frothy, if not too persistent, ivory head. Aroma presents hoppy and subtle citrus tones, typical but pleasing. Flavor is average, hoppy, resiny, a little woody, a little bitter, underpinning of grapefruit. Mouthfeel features average body and strong fizz. Average, but enjoyable.

Clear dark yellow, white lacing, lasting foam head. Nice hoppy aroma and bitter taste, light citrus notes. Another one of those very nice US IPA's. (Velp 201607)

A bright golden colored beer with a moderate off white sudsy textured head rising above. A short lived hang time. Light film and moderate ringlet are left. Citrus fruit sweet and hoppy tart in nose and in taste. O first sip the orange dominates. Crisp and refreshing.

Had this over the summer on tap along with Nelson, but didn't review. This time from a bottle. Pours a golden amber color with a foamy white head that leaves some generous lacing. Aromas of orange peel, grapefruit, pine sap and sweet malt on the nose. Orange leads the flavor parade followed by the sweetness from the malt and some piney notes on the end. Long lasting mild bitter finish. Mouthfeel is full and smooth. A great pairing of two of my favorite hops. Not quite as good as it was on tap, but still very impressive. I will buy more of this if I can find it and share with others. A must try for hopheads.

22 oz bottle. Pours slightly hazy golden orange with a medium frothy white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is fruity piney hops with some resin and some caramel/crystal malt.
The flavor is sweet biscuity malt with resiny piney hops and some fruit. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and slightly watery.
Overall, a nice IPA. I remember it being better on tap. -

Golden orange color, nice white head and lacing. Sweet citrus - grapefruits, blood oranges - the the initial nose and palate, then more resiny light pine and dankness, heavy yet superflavorful, sweet malt offset to the abundant hops presence. Great sweet and bitter linger.

Huge thanks to slowrunner77 for this beast. Beautiful orange pour with a sticky white head. Citrus bomb aromas - grapefruit, lemon and orange peel. Hops and bitterness galore, a quintessential west coast IPA. Sooty and sweet with pine, grapefruit, pineapple and mango. Truly a joy to drink. Thanks, Chris!

Pretty solid brew! Two of my more liked varieties of hops play nicely off of each other. I can't help comparing this to the awesomeness that is Nelson (especially since we just had a ridiculously good, ridiculously fresh one two days prior). Surprisingly, Nelson is the easy winner (4.4 bordering on 4.5, this is a 4.3 bordering on a 4.2). That's not a knock on this very very good IPA...Nelson is just that good. Citrus (mainly orange peel) are in the fore, great aroma, hoppy and bitter and fruity, but never overpowers, which is what Alpine does SO well.

Another great beer from Alpine. This is turning out to be a real solid brewery. Minimal sweetness, and very hoppy, but not necessarily bitter. Golden orange color. Dry, clean finish. The same pine sap/resin that dominates the Hoppiness is present here too...with the same floral character in the finish. Must be their signature profile. Great beer. Sadly, I have only one more beer from this brewery left.

Spot on IPA with grapefruit, orange, mango, pine and a dank catty quality. Light golden copper body with a frothy head and lots of lacing. Great bitterness and easy drinking.
