It traces its' heritage back to 1820 when Alexander Keith first established his Nova Scotia brewery on Lower Water Street in Halifax. A truly iconic Canadian brand, Keith's IPA has continued its' enduring dedication to quality by using only the finest ingredients. The result is a smooth golden alewith a distinct taste. Its' unique flavour encompasses subtle notes of black licorice with a slight sweetness and bitter finish. Even as the times change, Alexander Keith's India Pale Ale remains the pride of Nova Scotia. Today we still honour hios commitment to excellence, brewing his beer his way.

The Pride of Nova Scotia is not something a beer geek would be proud of. Thios is an old turn of the century English IPA according to the beerhunter Michael Jackson. I'm not convinced that it is. A very clear pale gold with a thin white head. Aroma is corn, metal, and not much else. Flavour is just gross. The fact that I have not reviewed this before astounds me.

Clear light yellow with fast dissapearing white foam head. Aroma is weak, undefined - malt. Taste is too sweet for a IPA, not much bitterness. Aftertaste is again too sweet, very little bitterness. (Ottawa 201210)

This is a golden/blonde ale and not an IPA. How the company gets away with calling it an IPA. Colour - clear yellow, frothy head. Aroma - wet vegetables. Mouthfeel - thin. Flavour - metallic grains. Overall - awful.

Thin mouthfeel and a bit watery tasting. Smells like grain. Went down easily, but nothing at all like the other IPA I just sampled (Scotch Irish Brewing Sgt. Major)and nothing particularly memorable about this brew.

This is a funny LAGER. I love marketing. That said, if you put it up against Canadian.... not so bad anymore is it? Head is huge but fizzles in moments. Im getting something on the nose, obscure citrus note, honey air freshner(if it exists), mild yeast, touch skunky, but really not that awful. Easy drinking, bit watery, definately dry, there is an aftertaste that lingers a moment, and its not unpleasant. Maybe a bit grassy? Couldnt stop burping.....

Let me begin by saying I HATE IPAs!!! But I can't really figure out why, but i love this one. I guest would say that in my opinion this tastes nothing like an IPA, I think IPAs tend to have a terribly bitter after taste, while this has no after taste whatsoever. I also think a lot of IPAs are just... i guess sour is an okay word, not completely accurate, but close. LOVE AK IPA

How exactly is this an IPA again? I mean, they can call it Badger Piss and consider a stout if the brewer want's to. But it seems a bit misleading when you call a beer an IPA and it's nothing close to one (or even a regular pale ale). The beer poured out a clear, light yellow color with a tight fizzy 1" head. Aroma is lightly malty, and that's basically it. No hops, nothing to hang your olfactory senses on. Flavor is tangy, like Sweet Tarts, but also there's some honey-like sweetness there. Butterscotch and muted grains finish this off. Finish is dry and quick. Nothing lingering here. It was refreshing, and easy to consume. Just hard to fathom that this is called an IPA, when there's no way in hell it is.

Well, I look at this beer in a glass and I think, that's a nice beer. But them I smell it and it smells grainy. And then I take a mouthful, and its weak bodied with ample carbonation, and then I taste it...and I wonder what all the fuss is about. It tastes as good (or bad) as any other macro-swill
