Bountiful brown from heybeerman....big thanks for this one. Killer lable, great contents. Earthy, nuty roasted malt with a hint of chocolate and peat. Dark amber brown body, 1/4" tan head and stringy lacing. Silky smooth and medium bodied mouth feel. Malty and lively.....a great brown all around.

Super nice for the style. Chocolate malt, caramel, slight nuttiness in the nose. Barely there hops with smooth chocolate and roast in the flavor. Better than most browns. Thanks Travis.

I'm very biased as I write this, I had lots of Lost Lake all weekend with my cheap ass brother and this is the first good beer I had once I got back. It was a flavor explosion for a nut brown, not mild and boring as most are. Also not watery thin, had a good mouthfeel and tons of flavor.

Madtown Nutbrown is a local recent legendary brew by Ale Asylum. In my personal opinion, anybody who enjoys beer and loves life and is visiting Madison, Wisconsin, should go to the brewery and order one, if not at least pick up a bottle or a dozen at one of the local package stores. Now the palate of this particular beer would satisfy something similar to a squirrels. The color is literally a light nutty redbrown, with a smooth mellow head and calm lacing. The flavor and mouthfeel accommodates the color and texture to make one darn heck of a general genuine character (o how I hope that makes sense). But yes, when someone comes into town and asks for my personal suggestion for beers to try, I always recommend Ale Asylum. And whenever a friend is far away, where they don't carry it, I drink one for them here and there.

Wow, great brown ale here. Second best to Rogue's Hazelnut brown nectar for me. Copper colored pour with a nice nutty, burnt sugar, malt aroma. Flavor slightly of hops, burnt sugar/caramel, and nuts. Good stuff!!

This nice nut brown courtesy of phishpond. Pours a deep mahogany brown with a large fluffy cream head exuding tons of lacing. Slight carbonation. Aromas of sweet toasted malts with almonds, caramel and slight hops. Taste is rich and creamy with the malts, caramel and especially the nuttiness up front balanced by the hops. Slight sweetness and nuttiness lingers. Great nut brown ale - thanks Travis!

Poured from the bottle, the aroma of nutty-sweet caramel emanates from a hazy copper body with a thin, light tan head. Full creamy mouthfeel and a wonderful flavor; well balanced soft nut-like malts, a hint of hop bitterness and a nice smooth finish. Absolutely delicious!

Deep coppery colored pour with slight head and some lacing. Rich, full mouthfeel, smooth malty flavor. A tasty brown ale from a recommended Madison, Wisconsin brewpub.
