clear dark ruby red with brown lasting, lacing foam head. Aroma is quite interesting, bit sour yet also some caramel, little leather. Taste likewise, mixture of sour gueuze and caramel dark beer. (Velp 201407)

330 ml capped bottle bought at the Gueuzesterkerij, in Beersel. Poured in the original 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass an unfiltered and dark burgundy, close to black, coloured Porter with a two fingers, tan and creamy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Low carbonation. Great lacing. The aroma is deep roasted malts, dark fruits, dark cherries, coffeish and ashes notes. The flavour is roasted malts, roasted coffee beans, dark chocolate, sour cherries, woody and ashes notes. THe mouthfeel is creamy, fulled, thick and intense bitter. The texture is watery. This fulled bodied Porter has a dry malty, coffeish and sourish fruits finish. A beautiful moment of emotion with this original ( mixed fermentation )Flemish Porter. Is this one still a thruth-Porter ?

nice unique brew here. as a stright stout/porter, it would be very thin, but the body works with the flavor profile, which is light and complex. roasted malt, chocolate, funk, and ash. Same in the aroma. Very quaffable. I've been told like the Jolly Pumpkin Sour Stout light.

Draft a couple of times @ the Avenue Pub, the day before and during Zwanze Day .. . Pours a deep brown black .. medium foam .. light roast and a great touch of tartness .. . oak, ash, and light funk .. . really better than you would expect- try it if you have the privilege of being in the same room .. . . So, which one do you want? Biff, Doug, Skippy? No, don't take Skippy, he's got asthma.

Bottled@Orsted Olbar, Copenhagen. Quite much black colour with a small brown head. Aroma is some toasted malts, mild ashes, some yeast as well as some slight tartness. Flavour is ashes, toasted malts, some sourish wooden notes along with mild toffee and liquorice. Very mouthdrying. Pleasant and rather different.
