This beer is brewed during the hop harvest with a portion of unkilned or “wet” hops fresh off the vine. Apricot in color, Broo Doo’s nose has dominant orange, pine sap and floral notes, balanced by a glazed nut and toffee malt body. This celebration of the hop harvest has intense tropical fruit, citrus and spicy accents that showcase the complexity of the hops we all love, brewed with organic New Zealand Pacific Gem and fresh unkilned Simcoe hops. Exceptionally hoppy and not for the faint hearted. October release.

Another shared beer @ Bearden Beer Market's small tasting and pairing. Clear amber orange pour with a tight white head leaving spotty lacing throughout. Big fruity aroma, fresh oranges, some peaches, a touch of spruce and floral honeysuckle, pretty sweet maltiness present too. Taste is like the aroma: oranges, citrus, light piney and floral, sweet and big long bitter linger. Very nice if not almost too sweet. Big and "not for the faint hearted."

Fresh hopped and medium bodied. Solid bitterness and a good malt backdrop. Copper colored body. Fruity with bits of evergreen spread about. A really nice harvest brew, but not as bitter or over the top hoppy as I expected.

I've wanted to try this beer for a long long time, and now that I have, I can proclaim it to be a very good beer. Cloudy, orange-gold, tan head with a nice citrusy aroma and sweet malt. I found there to be a great balance between the sweet malt and bitter hops. Glad I bought several.

Bottle: Poured a dirty amber color ale with a quite large foamy head with good retention and very good lacing. Aroma of earthy hops and dry caramel malt with nice overtones of floral hops. Taste is also dominated by earthy hops with floral undertones and some dry caramel malt backbone which is well balanced in support of all the hops. Body is quite full with great carbonation. Very well done and not a full hops assault as this brewery seems to do very well but a more balanced approach which is very efficient.

This one poured an orange color with a moderate white head. The flavor is loaded with pine with some lemons and orange peels. This one is big on the bitterness as well as the sweetness but it balances well. The flavor contains the flavor of just about every citrus fruit in existence. I taste lemons, grapefruit, peaches, oranges. To me this was like Dreadnaught Lite. Overall a very nice IPA.
