225 Voss Norheim Norway Ale 3.8

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8

July 2013: On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6%. This appears to be a modern pale ale, but brewed with "einerlåg" (brewing water boiled with juniper twigs) according to the ancient Voss homebrew method. The result is both tasty and interesting. Hazy deep golden to orange colour, creamy white head. Aroma and flavour of resinous hops and juniper, hints of smoke, some fruit too. Recommended!
