Interesting sourish aroma of oak, farmhouse, red wine and red wine vinegar, spicy notes too. Medium sour and fairly sweet flavour, fruity and vinous notes, the hops are hardly noticeable.

Citric and piney hops in the flavour, some malty sweetness but not too much. Moderately bitter aftertaste.

500 ml bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.1%. Copper coloured beer, moderate off-white head. Moderate aroma, some malts and toffee, hints of stale berries and "dusty" hops. The flavour has again some malts and toffee, but is quite dry. Just a hint of fruit. Moderately bitter hops in the finish, some nutty notes. Drinkable, but not Adnams’ best.

440 ml can, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 8.0%. Cloudy greyish-yellow colour, large white head. Pleasant aroma of citrus, papaya, guava and pineapple. The flavour is not too sweet, fairly light bodied for its strength, with notes of said fruits and pine, moderately bitter finish.

May 2015: Kinn Humlehaud India-Øl, 75 cl flaske, 4,7%: Med nyheten Humlehaud fra Kinn Bryggeri i Florø får "humlehodene" våre en såkalt "session IPA" i norsk butikkstyrke til å kose seg med på dager hvor man ikke vil ha overvettes mange "prosenter" innenfor vesten, men likevel vil ha et øl med solid humlesmak. Humlehaud er i prinsippet en nedskalert versjon av bryggeriets bestselger i "polklassen", Vestkyst. Uklar oransje til brun farge på ølet, moderat hvitt skum. Sterk og frisk aroma av amerikansk humle, med toner av grapefrukt og furu. Nokså lett i kroppen, men bra til å være et øl på 4,7%. Middels tørr smak, velhumlet gjennom det hele, sterke toner av furunål, også grapefrukt. Meget drikkelig!

750 ml bottle, from Heinemann taxfree, Stavanger Airport Sola. Gluten free, according to the rear label. ABV is 7.0%. Golden brown to amber colour, moderate off-white head. Aroma of caramel, brown kandij sugar syrup and mild spices, an unpleasant hint of solvent. Malty and fairly sweet flavour, again with notes of caramel, brown kandij sugar and mild spices, hints of hops in the finish.

Kinn Ekstra God Bitter, på fat på Cardinal, august 2014, 5%: Kinn Bryggeri i Florø vedgår gjerne at de har sansen for det engelske innen bryggekunsten, og da er det bare naturlig at de kommer med en premium bitter. Og Kinn Ekstra God Bitter lever så avgjort opp til navnet sitt! Disig gylden farge på ølet, lavt hvitt skum. Distinkt aroma av engelsk humle - med toner både av frukt, gress og jord. Smaken er verken for søt eller for tørr, litt frukt først, så overtar humlen med jord- og urtetoner. Rimelig bitter avslutning. En velbrygget premium bitter, rett og slett - den vil falle i smak hos mange.

Rerate, on tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Hazy pale golden colour, moderate white head. Moderate aroma of Belgian ale yeast, discrete spicy hints, some dust. Refreshing flavour, not sweet, again discrete spicy notes, some hops in the finish. Easy drinking. Original rating: Sample from bottle at Vecturamesse. Unfortunately sampled too warm, but this could not keep me from noticing that Kveldsbris has a pleasant "Belgian" aroma, and that the flavour belongs to a typical and tasty Belgian blonde ale. Will re-rate as soon as I get a full bottle.

The flavour is not too sweet, with notes of malts and moderate herbal hops, some bitterness in the aftertaste. Not bad, but not very exciting either.

355 ml bottle, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 4.5%. Golden colour, only the slightest haziness, small white head. "perfumed" aroma of peaches, guava, passionfruit and sweet oranges. Fairly refreshing and slightly dry flavour, again "perfumed" and somewhat artificial notes of tropical fruits, some bittering hops in the finish. Not a favourite of mine.

Refreshing and pleasant flavour, medium dry, with notes of citric hops and orange peel, hints of coriander seeds, decent bittering hops. Well balanced and enjoyable.

Oct. 2020: 500 ml bottle, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Beautiful clear reddish brown colour, moderate head, slightly off-white. Aroma of ripe dark berries, malts and caramel, some earthy notes too. The flavour is first fruity with dark berries again, followed by very distinct earthy hops to a bitter finish.
