440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8%, IBU 75. Clear and deep reddish brown colour, large off-white head. Aroma of fruity, herbal and piney hops, caramel and a hint of honey. Medium sweet flavour with a decent hop bitterness, and otherwise the same elements as the aroma.

Sample from bottle, tasted a bit too warm. A golden pilsener, somewhat better hopped in both aroma and flavor than most of its industrial counterparts - but given the high price, I am inclined to rather spend that money on some of Fanø’s ales.

Cask from the wood, halfpint, at the SPBW 1st National Woodfest, Castleford. Black colour, beige head. Nice and mild roasty aroma, notes of chocolate, lactose and wood. Sweet flavour, lots of lactose and malts, mild roasty notes, some chocolate, very moderate hops. Smooth to drink.

500 ml can, from Coop Extra Jørpeland. ABV is 4.6%. Clear pale golden colour, large white head. Sweetish aroma of malts, flowers and newmown grass. Soft mouthfeel. The flavour has some medium sweet malts, a little citrus and moderate herbal hops.

500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Netbutikken. ABV is 5.2%. Hazy pale yellow colour, large white head. Strong sweetish aroma of bananas and "banana split" toffee. Also distinct notes of cloves. The flavour is mid between sweet and dry, with some citrus, banana and cloves. Very moderate hops, short finish. A typical hefeweizen, might well buy again.

Malty flavour, medium sweet but not too much, caramel and brown bread again, minimal hops. Okay, but not brilliant.

Can, from Rema 1000; Tau. Sweetish aroma of pilsener malts and grassy hops. Soft mouthfeel. Slightly sweet flavour , moderate herbal hops. No off-flavours, acceptable.

On tap at Cardinal, as Monkey Brew Unruffled West Coast IPA. Clear reddish-golden colour, moderate white head. Nice hoppy aroma and flavour, piney, not too sweet. Well balanced, bitter finish.

Sampled on numerous occasions, from bottle, can and on tap. ABV is 4.7%. This is the best Norwegian industrial pilsener which is widely available. Brewed by Norway's oldest remaining brewery, still owned by the same family. Typical pilsener golden colour, with a moderate white head. Aroma and flavour of Saaz and Hallertauer hops, fairly crisp and refreshing.

750 ml clear bottle, from the cidery (open only on Saturdays). ABV is 7.7%. Clear orange to rosé colour, pours sparkling with a shortlived white head. Aroma of Norwegian garden apples and apple cores, hints of oak, sulphites and plums. Can't detect any raspberries. The flavour has the same elements, slightly on the dry side.

The flavour has the same elements, also notes of caramel and hints of ripe garden berries. Moderate bitterness.
