July 2016: RBESG 2016 in Barcelona. On tap at NaparBCN. Can hardly read my notes here, probably due to the ABV of the previous beers more than this one - but an overall score of 13 must mean that the beer tasted somewhat better than horse piss. Hazy golden colour. Funky / "horse blanket" aroma. Sour flavour with brettanomyces notes.

August 2021: Shared bottle, possibly dated, at regional tasting. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma of malts, a hint of butter. Moderate oxidised malty flavour.

May 2014: Shared can at local tasting. Pale golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of grass and candy. Fizzy mouthfeel, light bodied. Medium sweet flavour, some grassy hops. Could have been worse.

330 ml gusher can, overcarbonated. From Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6%. Deep golden to amber colour, large white head. Moderate aroma of malts, caramel, brown bread and citric hops, a hint of pine. Citric and fizzy mouthfeel. Citrus, caramel and pine in the fairly dry flavour, with a moderate resinous bitterness in the finish.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.0%. Slightly hazy deep golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of citrus / grapefruit / caramelized orange marmalade, also notes of pine and spruce. Citric / grapefruity flavour too, not too sweet, with a piney / resinous bitterness in the finish. Refreshing.

September 2017: 330 ml bottle, from Ales By Mail. ABV is 4.8%. Hazy golden colour, moderate white head. Hoppy aroma with spicy and fruity notes, hints of white grapes. Fizzy mouthfeel. Fruity and spicy / herbal notes in the flavour too, bitter finish.

February 2020: 330 ml can, as Tiny Rebel What's Cooler than Being Cool? & NEIPA. From bestofbeers.dk . ABV is 8%. Opaque yellow colour, moderate to small white head. Distinct aroma of tropical fruits, pine and spruce. Moderate carbonation. Tropical fruits in the flavour too, some sweetness, followed by grapefruit and a resinous bitterness in the finish.

February 2020: 330 ml can, from bestofbeers.dk . ABV is 12.8%. Pitch black colour, small tan head. Sweetish aroma of marshmallows, vanilla, chocolate and roast malts. Extremely sweet flavour, marshmallows, sugar and vanilla galore, a little roast malts in the finish, otherwise there is nothing here to remind you that this actually is a beer. Not my cup of tea. Won't buy again.

March 2017; 330 ml bottle, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 5.6%. Slightly hazy pale golden colour, moderate white head. The aroma is unexpectedly dryish and "dusty", only hints of citrussy hops. The flavour is more distinctly citrussy, with some fruity sweetness too, while the finish is dry and bitter.

March 2017: 330 ml bottle, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 7.4%. Slightly hazy golden colour, low white head. Moderate aroma of American hops, some dryish "dusty" notes in the background. The flavour is fairly sweet, with plenty of fruity and piney American hops. Bitter finish. Not perfectly balanced.

The flavour is citrussy with dry malts in the background. Bittering hops in the dry aftertaste. Fair enough.

February 2016: 330 ml bottle, from Matkroken Stokka. BB date 3/14. ABV is 4.4%. Deep golden colour, moderate white head. Remarkably floral aroma, also notes of caramel and herbs. Medium dry flavour, herbal English hops, moderate bitterness. Good now, probably even better when fresher. Would buy again.

August 2016: On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Black colour, moderate beige head. The aroma has notes of roast malts and some fruity and floral hops, only a hint of smoke. Medium dry flavour, moderately roasted malts and a slight fruitiness make the beer very drinkable. The smokey notes are there, but are well balanced with the other flavour elements. Moderate hops in the finish.

Sep. 2017: 330 ml bottle, from Ales By Mail. ABV is 7.4%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Pleasant aroma of spicy saison yeast, lemon verbena and kaffir lime leaves. Peppery and citrussy flavour, medium dry, with a distinct hop bitterness. Fizzy mouthfeel. Light bodied for its strength.

Oct. 2017: On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Muddy greyish-yellow colour, moderate white head. Lovely aroma of tropical fruits, especially passionfruit and mango. Very nice fruity flavour, not too sweet, tropical fruits galore, balanced by decent bittering hops with some piney notes.

440 ml can, as Vocation Sunburst Fruity Pale, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 4.8%. Slightly hazy deep golden to orange colour, moderate white head. Aroma of blood oranges and passion fruit, also notes of candy / sweets. The flavour is not too sweet, but has again notes of citrus / blood oranges and passionfruit. Low bitterness.

Aroma of roast malts, chocolate, alcohol, oak and chili / hot sauce. Warming mouthfeel, both from the alcohol and hot sauce. Flavour of roast malts, chocolate, caramel, oak and hot sauce galore.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.5%. Hazy yellow colour, large and lasting white head. Aroma of pineapple and peaches, also some citrus and tropical fruits. Citric flavour, also notes of yellow stonefruits and tropical fruits. Nice.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 10%. Moderately hazy yellow colour, moderate to small white head. Aroma of over-ripe yellow stonefruits, a hint of sweat. Sweet flavour with notes of peaches and apricots, a moderate but still fairly distinct bitterness in the finish.

August 2014: 650 ml bottle, vintage 2013, yellow label and wax, Limited Edition No. 11. ABV is 10.2%. Featuring X-431 hops. At Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Amber colour, large head, slightly off-white. Strong sweetish aroma, notes of caramelized orange marmalade, notes of molasses and some fresh oranges too, hints of oak. Rich flavour, sweet and malty as expected, but not cloying or sickening. Citrus fruit and caramel again, with distinct bittering hops in the finish and aftertaste. Warming mouthfeel. Enjoyable.

500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.8%. Black colour, moderate beige head. Aroma of roast malts, chocolate and mild coffee. Malty but medium dry flavour with a slight citric acidity, distinct notes of coffee and dark bitter chocolate.
