375 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 9.5%. Very dark brown to black colour, large beige head. Distinct aroma of malts, oak, bourbon and vanilla. Medium sweet and oaky flavour with distinct notes of bourbon and vanilla. The bourbon makes the beer seem boozier than the 9.5% alone would warrant.

Deep golden to amber colour, moderate white head. Fruity and herbal aroma, hints of peaches, citrus and jam, also some sweetish and malty caramel notes. Soft mouthfeel, just the right amount of carbonation in the mouth.The smooth flavour is not too sweet, enough citrussy and herbal hops to make the beer very drinkable and crisp, some caramel malts in the background.

November 2017: 330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 11%. Cloudy brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma of Sauternes and botrytis cinerea, grapes, raisins, apricot and oak. The medium sweet and fruity flavour has the same elements as the aroma, but the oak and dark dried fruits are now more distinct. The finish has surprisingly distinct and fairly sharp hops.

Decent aroma of jam / marmalade and fruity hops, hints of spruce. Medium sweet flavour, with distinct fruity and piney American hops throughout, and a solid bitterness in the finish. Not bad at all from Gotlands Bryggeri.

The flavour is citrussy and mildly spicy, not too sweet, not too dry, not sour, well balanced, with decent bittering hops in the finish. Refreshing, soft mouthfeel, pleasant to drink.

December 2012: 330 ml bottle, as Gotlands Red October (Wisby is not mentioned on the label), from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 6.0%. Pale brown to copper colour, large off-white head. Pleasant malty aroma with hints of caramel and brown bread, also some hints of over-ripe red fruits. The flavour is also malty with distinct notes of caramel, but is not too sweet. Decent hops in the finish, medium bitter aftertaste. A nice beer which i might well buy again.

June 2013: Shared 330 ml bottle. ABV is 6.2%. Beautiful ruby colour, moderate beige head. Nice aroma, malty first with notes of brown bread and caramel, then the Galaxy and Nelson Sauvin hops come through with fruity notes. The flavour is well hopped throughout, but still not very bitter, on a distinctly malty base with brown bread and caramel again. Not too sweet though, quite nice.

The flavour is well hopped throughout, but could still be called "well balanced", it is not extreme for a double IPA. The malty base is sufficient, but not too sweet. Very drinkable.

March 2015: Shared 330 ml bottle at local tasting. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Large to moderate beige head. Moderate aroma, some malts, a hint of brown kandij sugar and mild spices. Surprisingly dry flavour for a Belgian strong ale, some lightly roasted malts, but not impressive. The alcohol is well hidden though. Very light bodied for its strength.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7%. Moderately gushing can, overcarbonated like most beers from this brewery. Cloudy yellow colour, large white head. Aroma of yellow stonefruits, pineapple and various tropical fruits. Citric and fizzy mouthfeel. Flavour of citrus, yellow stonefruits and some tropical fruits, a moderate bitterness in the finish.
