355ml can that pours what looks like a clear, dark brown colour with ruby highlights, a nice creamyish warm-beige, good stay and some foamy lacing streaks. You can definitely smell the fresh, herbal-licorice gin notes from the barrel that gives hints of mint and wood. The roasted malt base is there as well, and in the flavours. The taste is milder than the aromas, but having a tad molasses and licorice. An easy, black lager with nice notes from the gin barrels that make it a bit more special.

473ml can, which is weird for collaborators Hermite - as they like their 355ml cans, and two of five cans in this 5th year anniversary are 355ml. Using two hops (Golding and Triple Pearl) which are usually spicier, but rice as the grain to calm this down. I feel the yeast comes out a touch more. A tad herbal nose with hints of wet socks. The taste shows a little more herb-grassiness creating decent dryness in the end. Fairly clean, very light golden-yellow colour with a frothy-bubbly white head, average stay and some good foamy-soapy lacing-ring. Some notes of apples, pears, but all-around an easy-drinking rice Pale Ale with a yeasty feel, and mild dry finish.

Quite an interesting mix of things here! Some vinegar notes in the aromas, among a touch of Bourbon, some darker grains and hints of sweetness. The taste shows the rye flavours with a tad vinous-sourness. Some grassiness balancing things. Not really thick in the mouth, and the finish is fairly light. Mildly hazed, amber colour with a big frothy warm-beige head, good retention and creamy lacing. A bunch of stuff going on here, but it all really nicely blends together with nothing offensive, nor too strong.

Slightly hazed, bright golden-yellow colour with a warm, off-white frothy head, decent retention and leaving nice streaks of foamy lacing. Alcoholic nose with some mild bitter grassiness, tropical notes, floral hints and even a tad bubblegum. The taste is less boozy, with decent citruses, tropical fruits and a herbal touch. Refreshing mouthfeel with some slow building dryness that does not get too extreme. An interesting NEIPA that is somewhat juicy, milder all-around and with these three hops from Quebec giving a different stance than Vermont - with that tropical-bubblegum blend.

The head is white, frothy-bubbly, decent lasting and leaving good foamy spot on the glass. Lemon zest aromas over mild oranges. The taste is a little on the bitter citrus peel side with a light lingering dryness. Citrus zest flavours with a herbal touch. A pretty good Session IPA that gains points for being unfiltered (as all of these three IPAs in this pack).

Oh wow - such a beautifully smelling beer! Fresh, herbal notes, quite unique with hints of spiciness, grassiness over the tad caramel malts. The hops continue nicely in the taste with the grassy-herbal flavours. The Strata hops offer a touch of mint, the Chinook pine-grapefruits and the Idaho 7 some stone fruits. Lightly hazy, bright light-golden colour with a good frothy white cap, good stay and mild lacing. Quite an amazing twist on the West Coast style IPA that is very delicious, and a good start to these 5th year anniversary brews.

Still, a refreshing IPA with decent citrus notes.

2021 edition bottle found in the back of a shelf, pouring a dark brown colour with lots of ruby-copper highlights. The head is bubbly-creamy, quite long lasting, warm beige and leaving some very nice lacing. Aromas of a Black IPA with the roasted malt base and some grassy hops. Eventually, oak-vanilla from the barrel comes out with the wine notes. I do get more white wine characteristics than red Sauvignon. Smooth mouthfeel, kind of slick long lasting, and nice building dryness that lingers lightly. Vinous notes that blends with the oak, roasted barley and hoppy grassiness. A pretty good Black IPA with the oak barrel of red wine adding a nice touch.

Hazy, golden-amber colour with a big white, creamy-frothy head that stays a while and leaves good lacing. Caramel malt base with some nice blending oats, mild fruitiness and grassiness. The hops do show up more with the grassy notes, in the taste with the caramel, soapy-oats and a beautiful citrus zest finale lingering. Lightly wet mouthfeel to start with, but getting some nice dryness pretty quickly and continues building. Quite a well-brewed American IPA with the balance of caramel, grass and citruses.

Fairly clean, bright golden colour with an off-white frothy cap, good stay and lacing. Mild spicy ginger aromas over the straw malts with hints of pear. The fruitiness continues in the flavours. The spiciness does come out a bit, and builds as it goes. Nothing too crazy, but just a nice touch on this regular lager.

Dark brown colour with tiny particles floating around and some ruby-copper highlights. Beige frothy head, decent retention and full lacing. Coffee aromas over the roasted malts and some mild molasses, dark fruit notes. The taste shows some light bitter coffee over the roasted barley. The mouthfeel is a little thicker, slick, silky, but smooth. A pretty nice coffee darker beer that is quite smooth.

Pours a lightly hazed, lightly pinkish colour with tiny silver sparkles floating around, a few other particles. The pink frothy head is a little creamy, long lasting and leaving lots of streaky lacing. Cherry vanilla, cotton candy essence aromas. The sourness does come out in the taste with the artificial pink cotton candy that is milder here. A little sweeter than the "mauve" version I had of this a month ago. A cool novelty, a decent sour dessert candy beer that reminds us of carnivals when we were young. One to try, but not to go back as beer drinkers.

1st can production of this one, pouring a darker amber colour with a big frothy warm, light-beige head, very long retention and leaving good lacing streaks. Fruity malty aromas at first with the caramel malt base, but then, that greenish, full grassiness hop comes out, which actually works really well in here. I usually am not a huge fan of this one, but yeah - blends very well with the darker, fruitier malts and toastiness. This continues in the taste. Gets a tad hazier as it pours. Some mild spiciness does come in the flavours, which makes it even better. The mouthfeel is smooth with some decent dryness in the end. Not my fave style, not my fave hop, but they sure make this one work.

Hazy yellow-beige-orange colour with a white frothy head, good stay and lacing. Citrus juice nose with some tropical fruits in there. Kind of mango and some light alcohol come out of this. Juicy mouthfeel with a little tart in the end, and a mild building dryness. Orange juice tasting with some citrus zest to blend, add a touch bitterness and hints of other tropical fruits. Quite an easy-drinking, juicy Double IPA that can easily get you hooked.

Darker amber colour with some light golden highlights, a big creamy warm, lighter-beige coloured with great retention and weblike lacing that stays. A slight haze with beautiful slow carbonation. Fruity malts aromas, not dark fruits, but kind of an amber-red ale one. Mild Belgian yeast with a wet mouthfeel. A little rusty in the taste, but the caramel malt base wins over and lingers. A touch of soapy oats which works well in here. Some good fruitiness blends things well. Nothing really sticking out too much, all well-balanced, and very easy to drink as a good Belgian Strong ale - not as much Dubbel.

Coral grains in the aromas with a touch of caramel and decent hop grassiness. The taste shows milder maltiness with a tad citrus, hoppiness. Lighter mouthfeel, light dryness. Not a bad APA that is easy to drink, but not sure I would say American - but more a touch old school, with a bit juiciness.

Clean amber colour with a little golden highlights, a light-beige, bubbly head that lasts a bit, leaving some small spots on the glass and a soapy ring on the brew. Malty, darker malt aromas (caramel, a tad roasted barley). Wet mouthfeel showing off a touch of the roasted malts, with hints of caramel malt base and decent hops cutting a little the thickness. Quite a nice Session ale that reminds me of an ESB. Would be nice to have on cask, but the carbonation is mild here representing this.

Hazy golden colour with an orange hue, a frothy-bubbly off-white head, decent stay and some light soapy spots of lacing. Orange peel aromas with grassy notes and hints of oats. The mouthfeel is juicy, but the drying starts quickly, and keeps on building. Some zinging-sting stuns the tongue. Lots of citrus zest throughout the taste. A fairly dry-zesty Double IPA, more than the usual blended juiciness for the stronger style.

Hazy golden-beige colour with a bug frothy white cap, good retention and leaving thick, soapy lacing. Mild lemon zest aroma and hints of oats. The lemon touch continues into the taste with a light orange juice with the oat as a base. Some good dryness comes out of it in the finish, but juicy enough for the overall mouthfeel. That zesty, slight bitterness lingers. A real nice, juicy but lemon zesty Pale Ale.

This Noctem version writes "West Coast Lager", not IPA. Slightly hazed by tiny, unfiltered particles floating around, an off-white frothy, creamy head, good stay and lots of lacing. Tropical fruit aromas that are milder, which makes the lager word on the can seem real. Apricot, oranges scent come out. The taste is where the West Coast comes out a little more, with the caramel malt base, some grassiness and blending citrus hop notes. Pretty good for mixing the West Coast style with a lager that calms down the greatness of the style.

Hazy golden-orange colour with a big, warm-white, frothy-creamy head, very long lasting and leaving nice sticky-foamy lacing. Lemon zest aromas with some orange juice, tropical fruitiness and that beautiful Nelson Sauvin grape-nuttiness. The taste continues showcasing this last hop, blending with citrus zest creating a nice soft dryness. The tropical fruits are nicely balancing in the background. Quite a nice juicy, zesty IPA with some nice fruitiness, and our friend - Nelson Sauvin.

Hazy, a little murky, red colour with a purple hue. The head is huge, frothy-bubbly, pink-red coloured, very long lasting and leaving full sticky-soapy lacing on the glass. Getting rusty water base in the nose, with some cherry juice, hints of pineapple and sourness. The taste is on the sweet side, fruity with the juicy cherry-pineapple notes, some decent sourness. Not a bad Imperial Smoothie Sour, but a little unbalanced with that rustiness I am getting.

Lightly hazy, golden-amber colour with a creamyish, off-white head, good retention and full, thick foamy lacing. Big grassy aromas with burnt wood, licorice, and a touch of perfume, herbal notes. The taste shows more on the herbal side, with a minty aspect, refreshing grassiness. Caramel malts do appear with time. Some nice building dryness concludes. A nice, interesting IPA more on the West Coast style, but with all Quebec ingredients that has a different touch.

The maltiness continues into the taste with the caramel-fruity notes, and then, hop grassiness right over to cut the sweetness. Wet mouthfeel with some good milder dryness. Gets a little hazy as it pours and hints of spices do appear in the nose. A real easy-drinking amber ale that is modern with the hoppier touch.
