Bar Fights

Non-Beer Discussion by CLASH

Ever seen one or been in one? I've only seen one and it was a doozie. At the Buffalo Wild Wings in town. We were sitting away from the action thankfully. It started with this hick yelling "Thats my girl Im going to kick your ass" Then all hell broke lose. They were knocking over tables and beer glasses were going everywhere. The managers and bartenders were trying to get the fight under control. I saw alot of punches being thrown and blood was on the floor. It took them about 20 minutes to contain them and shortly after the cops showed up, took them long enough. Well we had to refill our own beers because obviously no one was tending to tables or paying attention. We told them later we did it so we werent stealing beer. We were regulars so they didnt care. That place was trashed afterwards. Glass and broken chairs everywhere. Any one have any good bar fight stories?

I've seen only a few, odd considering the amount of time I've spent in bars and a lot of them were pretty scummy places. Most of the fights were silly and stupid but for one classic about 25 years ago, on Boxing Day - how appropriate! A couple of drunken fishermen in the old Buccaneer Pub in Steveston, BC were going at it for a couple of minutes before the bouncers tossed them. No real injuries although I did notice later a HUGE hank of hair left behind by one of them, on a pool table. Merry Christmas, boys!

I've seen a good many, never been in any. The ones I've seen have been pretty standard, two idiotic college kids wailing away at each other, scattering tables and pool cues. Seldom any blood. There was a very popular bar I frequented for awhile right out of college. I quit going because it was so crowded, and invariably I'd bump into some drunk kid all full of juice who'd threaten to kick my ass if I didn't buy him a new beer since I spilled his. I generally walked away, and no one ever followed through on the threat.

I was over at Humphrey's for penny pitchers 'round a table covered with pitchers with a bunch of friends. Then suddenly a girl with us was covered in beer, by the time I turned around to see where from, I had been splattered with blood. Apparently one of the dudes had thrown his pitcher on the other and so the other threw a fist and busted the first dude's nose and I caught the debris. The drunken masses at the bar had them pulled apart before a second blow could be dealt even, so that was nice. But, for all I know the fight continued on the street.

we don't get into bar fights in toronto because they all in end death with either someone getting shot or stabbed. even if it's 10-on-1, someone will still have a knife. we have a real problem w/ that up here. even bouncers get shot for "dissing" someone. sometimes just for not letting someone in. Having said that, the worst i ever saw ws 'bout 15 or so years ago and these 2 guys were going at it. lets just say that the one guy had no cuts on him at all while the other guy had no face left, and required reconstructive surgery. as far as myself, i've neve been in a bar fight per se, but have been in a tussle on the way home from a bar on the streetcar where i was pissed and so was the other guy, who was also on the way home from a bar. he was young college punk that got a face full of fist that was hassling everyone, and i got a standing "o"

Funny...cops took long enough to arrive. </font id="quote"></td></tr></table></blockquote id="quote"> Not to insult cops there PK but the only reason I said that was this....In this area known as Hixson cops are bored and circle the mall where the BW3 is located all the time. I always pass about 4 cruisers when leaving this place. So Im sure there was at least 5 bored cops within a 5 mile radius who took thier time. Oh well it was interesting to see [:D]
Hey, nothing like hunting over a baited field! [;)] Myself, I cruise the bars looking for nice a$$es, not drunk drivers. But in defense of the officers hunting over the baited field, maybe it deters someone from driving when maybe they shouldn't. We'd all like to arrive home safely.

Seen quite a few in my travels around small town America. While playing in the American Hockey League in the early 60s we would go for a beer or three after a game and the locals would always think we were easy pickins without out sticks and skates, we usually had them thinking otherwise. Seen the inside of jail cells a couple of times, after a bar room brawl.
