Most number of states

Say, who's got reviews from the most number of states? I was feeling pretty smug about my number, 'til I sneaked a peek at Clash's reviews, and of course, he's blown my doors off. And I guess to push the thought a little further, who's got the most number of total countries? (By the way, if this is an old thread, please forgive me. Relative newcomer, and all.)

All valid points my friend, and quite honestly a pretty damn good topic. I was surprised by how low my totals were. 20 states and 19 countries. Guess I need to expand a little [;)]

Aha, I tried only 2 beers from US... So two states are in my carrier, he he he. Well you should be proud of me if I can name all of your states. But seriously I'm almost dreaming about American and Canadian beer. You have lots of extremely good beer in America (as I found in BP). Countries. I've tried 29 already. Not too much comparing to the number of countries in the World. Does anyone know which country is the newest in the world?

Here's the top 25 for states: http://beerpal.com/members/topstates.asp Here's the top 25 for countries: http://beerpal.com/members/topcountries.asp 29 states for me with one more in the fridge. 31 countries for me with a handful in the fridge and plenty more to buy with relative ease in my local liquor store. Interesting thread. I've been working on building my passport stamps from around the world lately (with low-mid range beers for some of the countries, though). Doing the same for the states, but there are less "themes" that develop there (other than west coast = hoppiest, although many all over the US offer high hop beers).

Agree, interesting thread. I like the passport idea, a lot. I especially like lighting up a new state on my passport after I finally find and sample a beer from, say, Utah.

You must be sure for 100%. I was trying to find out in the internet do they produce beer (do they have a brewery that works, not homebrew of course), but my efforts were unsuccessful. Next to indepemdent countries I guess will be one day - Palestine and Taiwan (Chinese Taipei). And they produce beer.

Yes, the newest country in the world is East Timor. They gained their independence on the 20th of May in 2002. I am about 90% sure of this.[;)]
According to Frank Zappa, you can't be a Real Country unless you have a BEER and an airline - it helps if you have some kind of a football team or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a BEER. So - until this 'Timor' place gets a beer, its not a real country. Perhaps if it teamed up with West Timor, or perhaps the smaller, but more arguably imbibing citizens of North Timor, they could get their act together and start brewing beer! [;)]
