This year's Paddy's Pale Ale is a Rye IPA. It's made from 10% rye malt, 10% Carastan, 10% Munich and the remainder Canadian Pale Ale malt. Entirely malt base. Hopped only with Galena and Cluster (double dry hopped - both warm and cold), it has quite a bit of fruit on the nose. Palate is bitter and a little peppery from the rye with a long malt finish. Nicely balanced and drinkable @ 6.2% ABV. and about 60 IBU's. Colour is a rich amber, filtered bright.
