The Weiss beer is a traditional German unfiltered wheat beer. It contains 50% wheat malt and is hopped with Brewer's Gold and Hallertauer hops. This beer has notable clove and banana esters which is a characteristic of this particular yeast strain, which we procured from the Hans Hopf brewery in Meisbock, Germany.

sampler. light yellow color and full bodied. nice white thick head and good lacing. too much yeast/bananna taste - it was difficult to enjoy to be honest. I don't recommend.

Sampled at the brewpub. Poured a cloudy, yellow color with a nice, white head. Good lacing. Banana and clove-like aroma. Flavor was very banana-like with a lot of yeast. Not that good.

10.02.05 Tap at brewpub. Dark yellow, clouded. Mild aromas with some banana, some bread dough. Mild lemony flavors. Palate turns sharp and overwhelms the mild flavors.

Light gold color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is clove, fruit and sweet. A medium bodied wheat beer. Malts are fruity and sweet. Banana and clove. Spicy, yeasty and bright. Lots of clove flavors. Nice session beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with a touch of butter and spice
