For those that want a beer with complex malt flavors, but not the extra roasty flavors of a stout, our Oatmeal Porter is your beer. Very faint notes of chocolate, biscuits, and dark fruit and smoothness from a big portion of flaked oats. English hops just enough to balance.

Comes out of the tap a deep sable just a scratch above obsidian - not much head, but that must be an artifact of the pour Robust aroma has roast malt, licorice, caramel and molasses tones. Lip-smacking flavor has a roast malt core and firm notes of licorice, caramel and horehound plus a snip of molasses. Texture, though, is only average, though it has plenty of tingle and a nice smoky finish. Definitely worth sowing your wild oats - and oatmeal.
