Wow, an Ontario brewer that mislabels their cans....what a concept. The can says 'lager' which could be anything bottom fermented I suppose. It's a copper colour with a long lasting off-white head. Aroma doesn't match what I see as I would expect caramel or light toast but it's cereal, yeast, and light hops. The flavour is the same as the aroma with little to no caramel or roast making me wonder where the colour comes from.

The beer pours a translucent pale rust colour with a bubbly off-white head which lasts a couple of minutes. Plenty of small bubble effervescence going on. The aroma is biscuit malt, grass, wet cardboard, and yeast. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour starts off with light caramel, followed by some acidic notes on the tongue, leading into a mildly bitter finish. Can’t wait for the Woodhouse Light now. Yum…yum! -

Pours a clean, rich amber colour with a warm yellow cap, good retention and creamy foam lacing. Had a decent smell at first, but now I am getting diacetyl with the butterscotch. Well, maybe a little hay to help things too. Some roasted malts in the taste with the butterscotch and hops giving out coffee notes. Not bad for a lager, but somewhat unbalanced for a beer.

Can. Colour - light metallic gold, clear, low level of effervescence, short lived white cap. Aroma - light baked bread, grass, weak floral hops. Mouthfeel - medium bodied, well carbonated. Flavour - light cereal grains, weak yeast, and a decent bitter hop finish. Decent effort.

Comes across as an American/Summer Wheat more than anything, though you can definitely taste the hops. Very good summer type quaff that you would drink at a BBQ or on the deck/patio. Straight out of the can and out of the glass have practically the same attributes all around. A little sticky on the roof of the mouth but very nice going down. Although i will say this in closing, there is something about this beer, as enjoyable as it was, felt like they really could've done better.
