Hops are the dominant flavour in our American IPA. The five different varieties used give this ale notes of citrus, pine and tropical fruit. A subtle malty backbone balances the hoppy bitterness with mild sweetness. The result is a well balanced IPA that is big on hop flavour.

Having been to the brewery a couple of times and been very disappointed in their stuff, I was kind of surprised that this was quite good. It's a dark gold pour, some haze, maybe even a floaty or two. I smell a lot of elements in this such as cereal, orange rind, and papaya. The flavours meld together nicely making this a nice drinking beer.

The beer pours a slightly hazed gold colour with a thin off-white ring for a cap. The aroma is tropical citrus notes, light grains, and weak yasty notes. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with slightly above average carbonation. The flavour is grapefruity hops, balanced with grassy noyes, and a bitter leathery aftertaste. -

Pours a clean golden-amber colour with soapy warm cap, good retention and lacing. Smells like an IPA with the hops giving citrus juices and zest. The taste has a little pine action with a dry finish. Lots of citrus again. Mild haze at last pour. Nothing too out of the ordinary, but just like a regular IPA should be. I like.

Can. Colour - slightly hazed copper colour with a medium sized off-white bubbly cap. High effervescence, but lacing is lacking. Aroma - typical notes of citrusy hop, pine, and caramel, and notes of wet carboard as well. Mouthfeel is weak bodied and over carbonated. Flavour - what flavour notes that exist are weak citrus and light toasty caramel hints.
