Black River Falls is in the heart of cranberry country, and this fall seasonal is a German ale brewed with real Wisconsin cranberries. Not your typical, sweet fruit beer, our Cranberry Special is well balanced with a refreshing tart finish.

Another Wisconsin brew from pfoxyjohn. This one pours a light ruby-amber that is slightly hazy with little head or lacing. Decent carbonation. Aromas of sweet fruits and malts with little hops. Taste is slightly sour with lemons and a very slight beery tartness. This would be a very good summer beer. Thanks John.

Pours a copper-orange with a bubbly white head that rapidly disappears. The nose is light and fruity, although I can't readily identify cranberry. The taste is a different story, however; very tart, distictly cranberry with an astringent, tart-sour, thin finish. Light bodied with a crisp pucker-producing palate. Not bad at all but more like a cranberry cider than a beer with little in the way of a malt profile. But that's what make this a very satisfying accompaniment to heavy or spicy food.

Leave it to Wisc to turn any kind of fruit into alcohol: pours a clear orange body with a small thin white head. aroma is strong of tart cranberries and lemon. taste is relatively light, fruity- finishes a little sour.

"I cant remember too much about this one. I had it during the Christmas 2006 mini tour at Old Chicago. I thought it had too much fruit flavor in it and was kinda strong in that aspect."
