This was kind of a surprise. This is one of the best robust porters I've ever had. Poured a dark brown almost black, with a thin tan head. Aroma was sweet and strong, with caramel and chocolate highlighting, and some underlying dark fruits. Flavor started strong and sweet, chocolate highlighted, with caramel, toffee, brown sugar, and figs. Some slightly roasty flavors come through in the finish. Very complex, don't pass on this one if you like porters.
