I love coffee beer and this brew and brewery are on tops in my taste. The Coffeehouse Stout doesn't compare with the same brewery's Cafe Royale, but it is a close contender. I never regret opening up a coffee stout that has a nice java aroma and good coffee taste.

i seem to like this better than my predecesors, but then again, I'm a sucker for coffee stouts. nothing that blew me away, but the coffee was up front and in your face, though not so much you couldn't taste the stout. a bit on the light side, but with a wonderful aroma and a nice lingering bittersweet coffee finish.

Rather...uninspired? Pours dark dark, little to no head. Aroma is coffee. Mouth is b-flat. Flavor is lacking something...all in all this isn't too great.

Re-rate, 2/10: A better than original experience, but still subpar. Didn’t help that this thing was downed while Crosby beat the US for Gold in the Medal game. Bleh. Acidic, not as lactic or beat, but not rich enough to be outstanding. Original rating: Bottle shared by Robert at SL. The pour was essentially black, average head. The aroma was coffee and chocolate. The flavor followed, sweet choco notes, some sour lactic elements, strong and firm coffee, but detracted by the sourness. There was a roasty and astringent character to a flaw in this one. Mouthfeel was moderate to light, acidic. Meh.
