Like the waters of Lost Lake, our Unfiltered India Pale Ale is refreshing and with a real bite. This Northwest style IPA is bold and hoppy with 75 IBU's and 6.8% ABV. But this is a complex drop too, with fruity notes of grapefruit and passion fruit. For extra body and mouthfeel, Lost Lake IPA is naturally carbonated and unfiltered. Or, as we call it here at Lost Lake, au natural.

Part of their Rambler Pack found at the Embrun Beer Store. Pours a clean amber colour (so probably not the unfiltered version listed here - showing 5.9% ABV.). A big beautiful creamy warm-beige head, great retention and thick creamy-fluffy lacing. Grainy cereal aromas with some notes of caramel malts. Not much hops, but these are found in the taste. Not super heavy, but adding a nice soft dry touch. Still, some nice cereal and toasted malts. All-around, a decent old-school IPA.

The brewery describes this beer as having 75 IBU, but I didn’t find it bitter. It’s a murky amber coloured beer with a weak off-white head, and plenty of effervescence. Citrus and grains dominate the aroma with the flavour being a mild hop finish that come after a biscuit malt front. Not a bad beer, but not something I would buy over and over again.

Bomber. Big foamy white head and a clear copper pour; said head left a shitload of lacing upon departure. Lots of citrus (grapefruit) for the nose, no pine resin, and some hops. Substantial mouthfeel for an IPA. Very bitter, almost sour flavour, and there was some pine, too. Also, there was a gritty quality to this one. Maybe the "unfiltered" part of the name?
