A very dark bitter chocolate is often combined with very fruity fires over time. In our raspberry stout, the fine, fruity-sour notes of the Frankisch raspberries with strong roasted taste combine with the pleasant bitterness of American aromatic hops to yield a special tasting experience. Weyermann Pale Ale, Weyermann Melandoidin, Weyermann Caraaroma, Weyermann Munich malts, and Weyermann Carafa Type 2 malts are used with Columbus and Chinook hops. The fruit includes 4kg of raspberries per hectoliter of brew in the storage tank. Fermentis Saftbrew S-33 yeast are used.

500 ml swing-top bottle, bought at the brewery. Poured in the original Weyermann glass an unfiltered and opaque dark brown-red coloured Fruit Stout with a one finger tan, dense and creamy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Active carbonation. Good lacing. A lot of big fruity sediments. The aroma is roasted coffee beans, roasted malts, dark chocolate and sourish fruity notes. The flavour is dark bitter chocolate, roasted malts, a point of ashes, light fruity, sourish raspberries. The mouthfeel is round, bitter and smooth. The texture is watery. This light bodied Fruit Stout has a roasted malts and bitter finish. The fruity side of this Himbeerstout is clearly overwhelmed by the powerful roasted malts.
