Fresh beer indicated by the uniform yeast turbidity, the beer laughs at us in the glass. Subtle hints of green apple and ripe grapefruit finish the strong dark caramel aroma. The first taste unfolds in the mouth, the caramel impression is strengthened and brought together with apple pie and finishing wooly mouth that encourages another. Ideal for its original purpose as a beer for field workers strengthening the days of Spring, it is nowadays best to enjoy with apple compote and fine chocolates.

500 ml swing-top bottle, bought at the brewery. Poured in the original Weyermann snifter an unfiltered and light hazy chesnut-ruby-brown coloured Saison with a one finger, dense, creamy and beige foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is toasted malts and fruity with juicy apples. The flavour is toasted and caramel malts, fruity, juicy green sourish apples and late coming bitter earthy hops. The mouthfeel is high sparkling, round and bitter. The texture is watery. This medium bodied Saison has a dry sourish and bitter finish. The combination caramel / sourish apples is in this Weyermann Saison not really convincing.
