Shared 500 ml bottle at local tasting. Golden colour, shortlived white head. Aroma of cider apples, oak and sulphites. Medium sweet flavour of cider apples and sweet eating apples, hints of oak and sulphites.

Since BevMo had many of their unusual ciders on sale, I thought why the heck not. I enjoy a refreshing cider that's not overly cloying, and so far the two I've had from Weston's were both really nice. Apples in the aroma on this one, but so is just a hint of wood/oak barrel. Almost reminds me of a champagne, but not quite. Flavor has strong notes of apples, vanilla and oak..much more present in the flavor than the aroma. Finishes with a slight acidic/vinegar like ending. A nice showcase of apples without becoming candy-like. -

Wow, all three of the ciders I got in the Weston's pack were practically identical. This one was slightly different with some added oak and earth flavours, but had the same alcohol warmth as the 1880 and the same very different aroma/taste. Quite the deep yellow body. Clear and clean with some good bubbles rising to the top. The aroma was very much like a wine. It didn't suggest apples to me, but did suggest some sweetness and alcohol. Mouth was sweet and wet with the bubbles lively, and ended dry with alcohol presence. Taste was dry and had the cider taste, but also had a very different odd taste. Odd doesn't necessarily mean bad and it worked in the ciders favour here. Good stuff. My sexy gal pal whom I shared the Weston's three pack with liked it best, and I can agree with that.

Bottle: Poured a medium yellow color cider with some very sparse bubble. Aroma of medium sweet apple are allots dominated by some funky farmhouse notes. Some oak notes appear at the end through the oily texture. Interesting but again not what I am used to or a cider.

Bottle. Clear golden colour with plenty of visible fizz. Pretty nice apple aroma, not too sweet. Fruity and fairly sweet flavour with some earthiness and noticable warming alcohol in the finish. Pleasant mouthfeel. Good.
