Cask; Regular. Also available bottle conditioned. Dark, smooth, deeply delicious and definitely moreish. This outstanding oatmeal stout has to be tasted to be fully understood. A medal winner at Oakwood in 2000, it achieves its satisfyingly malty flavour in part due to the roasted barley and Golding hops. Ingredients: Maris Otter pale malt, black malt, wheat malt, roasted barley, oatmel malt. Goldings hops.

Cask conditioned. Sampled at the Wear Valley CAMRA beer festival. (Room temperature). Pitch black. Low (natural) carbonation. Lovely aroma, smooth roast malt and coffee flavour, with some acid side notes that I'm not entirely happy about.

Cask at the Swan in the Rushes, Loughborough. Black with creamy tan head. Nice coffee and malt aroma, very smooth, quite dry with coffee and chocolate in the taste. Excellent stout.
