Crafted in the style of our award-winning Grapefruit Radler, this slightly sweet, refreshingly tart thirst-quencher combines quality craft lager and real raspberry juice for a taste you'll love like a day off in the summer. White fish entrees, light summer salads or a cold dessert such as mint gelato are the perfect complement to the light, refreshing blend of subtle bready notes from the lager beer and the floral and citrus notes of the raspberry juice.

The beer pours a translucent light rust colour with a short-lived generous head that quickly recedes to patches of white on top. Aroma is raspberry, fresh bread, and some tartness. Mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied, carbonation is below average. The beer was canned 3 months ago, so maybe a little less than fresh. The flavour is all about the fruit, and there are few, if any, hints that there is a beer base involved. The fact that ‘beer’ is the first ingredient is in itself scary. The pineapple radler will come later.

Pours a clean golden-peach colour with a big white cap, a pink hue, long lasting, fluffy, almost creamy with spots of lacing. Raspberry nose is pretty present with strawberry, lemon juice hints. You can feel the tart. The taste shows rusty water base with very light berry notes and even milder beer background. Looks great, smells good, but the rest is not really living it up. Too bad they have to add sugar (listed as third ingredient) with all of the fruit juices already added to the beer to make this radler.
