500ml bottle
7.0% ABV
Milton LCBO Outlet #1 (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
February 11, 1980
This poured a translucent gold colour with a slight reddish tinge. The head was thin, and white, and there was quite a bit of effervescence. The aroma was rather weak, nothing at all that comes to mind aside from some grassy hints. The mouthfeel was light. almost watery, and little carbonation. The taste was very grassy was well, with some malty hints.

November 2012: 500 ml bottle, shared by my beerpal Egil. Copper colour, moderate white head. Sweetish and slightly sickly malty aroma, some caramel. Fairly sweet flavour, malty with caramel, but nice enough to drink. Low bitterness.

Clear darker yellow with lacing white foam. Aroma is heavy barley. Taste is weak bitter, some bread. Aftertaste is weak. Wold be perfect if it was a bit warmer outside and the beer real cool. (Velp 201309)

Bottle: Poured a deep golden color lager with a medium bubbly head with minimal retention and light lacing. Aroma of adjunct is kind of gross with loads of residual sugar. Taste is also dominated by adjunct and sugar which does not make for an interesting drink. Body is quite full with an oily feel and medium carbonation. Light notes of fusel alcohol are perceptible. I don’t see myself drinking this again in the near future.

This bottle is 7.0%. Pours a clear pale copper color with a small white head that fades quickly. Aroma is mailnly malty with a nice caramel like sweetness. Flavour is similar to the smell with some nice caramel and a somewhat bitter follow, the alcohol is well hidden. Medium-thin mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Not bad at all, but I dont know if I could drink more than a couple of these in one night,

Polish beers are generally the gem of Eastern Europe. This appears to be an exception to the rule. Pale gold in colour, grainy aroma throughout, and a bitter burnt taste that cannot be attributed to hops.

Sampled from bottle: Pours a clear reddish-orange colour with a small off white head. Aroma is a little boozey at times, maple syrup, caramel and raisins also on the nose. Taste is pretty full on the palate. Overly malted, with syrupy qualities. A little unbalanced in my opinion.

Good beer. A little stronger than the average Polish beer. The look is very appealing, and it pours well. The taste is not overpowering, but leaves an impression. Better if it is cold, but not bad at room temperature.

Botttle: Poured a dark gold clear lager in the glass. decent 2 finger rocky cap...moderate retention...laces the glass well. Aroma is very bready..some honey and light must ober light grassy-citurs tones...good nose for a strong Polish lager...better than Mocene. Profile: Up front bready malts to chew on... some herbal botanical bittering...midpalate we get some unexpected complexity ( this is not a 2 dimensional lager) fruity tones, earthy grainyness, citrus bittering...finishes clean with the alcohol providing some spicey notes to the bready-fruity tastes...clean aftertaste. Slick bulky mouthfeel. I must admit I like this far better than Okocim Mocene...more dinkable and rouner mellow soft character for a strong beer. Well done and tastey when fresh.

I got this at the LCBO as well. Big bold beer with a bit of head. Strong with some bitterness on the attack. Mouthfeel is average. Not bad for a 7%er but nothing special either.
