A brilliant fuschia Saison brewed with real whole Cranberries and Beets. A refreshing tart farmhouse ale just in time for the holiday season! This beer starts earthy, then sweet to finish with the refreshing tart notes of the yeast complemented by the fruity tart cranberry notes. I was a bit nervous about brewing this beer. Mainly because I had never brewed with Beets, or with Cranberries... or a Saison. So combining everything to have a refreshing Cranberry-Beet Saison was a bit intimidating. But with lots of research resulting in some educated guesses and just the right amount of Luck, I ended up very happy with the results!

Enjoyed at the Loon. Pours a hazy golden-orange-red colour with a fizzy white cap, disappearing quickly and no lace. Sour nose with earthy and strawberry notes. With all of this, you can feel the beets overall. Sour taste with some decent vegetable notes in the finish. Quite a different, very interesting beer and worth trying. You can really feel the beets as the brew warms up.
