Pours a hazy honey amber with a fairly thick buff head. Aroma is hoppy and malty, not strong but inviting. Flavor is quite hoppy, bitter greenwood, with malty and subtle citrus notes. Texture is rather fizzy and fairly firm. Lay out some green for this Monsta, and go Red Sox!

Feb. 2010 - On tap at jerry remy’s, Logan airport. Murky brown color with one finger head and lacing. There really wasn’t any aroma and I sniffed hard. The waitress said it was hoppy. Not really. A mixture of english hops and a slight buttery off flavor. There is nothing in this beer which tastes remotely belgian. Oh...and it doesn’t strike me as very "monsta"..

Pours a cloudy orange with medium-sized white head. Aroma is all hops--citrus and floral notes. Very nice bitter taste with just a hint of malt. Unbalanced but in a good way; finishes nice and bitter. Would love to try it on tap as well.

Oh boy what do I say about this one being that this one is the staple of all Thanksgiving Day Eves for the past 3 or so years. I usually pick this one up on draught down at the local "townie bar" in Westminster, MA (home of Wachusett Brewery). For the longest time, this was a "on draught" only beer from the brewery, but in 2008 they started bottling this one due to the high demand. Bad news for those who can't keep away from this stuff (including me).
So the beer has a nice, inviting look and aroma to it. As Phishpond said, this thing has a full blown hoppy and citrus aroma to it and I'd go as far as saying there's even some floral tones thrown in as well. The color has a dark golden, almost copper tone to it and pours with a nice, creamy white head that leaves behind some beautiful lacing work on the side of the glass.
The mouthfeel and taste is really where I get myself into trouble. I don't think people who drink the Green Monsta realize how potent it actually is and that gets me every time. Smooth drinkin is the name of the game with this one....to the point where you get drunk really quickly. On tap this thing is double trouble, as it is even smoother from there. The flavor is hoppy and clean with a hint of citrus to it. Pretty enjoyable if you ask me and I end up abusing this one. Good thing I live in MD and they don't sell this on on draught down there as I'd be in trouble more often. -

Sampled on tap at Wachusett Brewery. Pours an dark orange colour with a large head. Aroma is hoppy and citrus fruit infused- a nice beer, maybe more of an IPA then an Imp. Flavors of sweet malts, ripe apple and pine.
