Really good on tap...great taste. The beer you can get only by a Czech brewer.

Pours an average amount of foamy head and goes down to a thin layer. Has a pale straw coloured appearance. Aromas of grains, wheats and malts. Mild malty flavours, light roasted malts. Nothing out of the ordinary here, just another lager coming from a country with more beer consumers per capita than anywhere else. Fairly creamy mouthfeel with average carbonation. Medium retention. Not bad.

a good Pilsner, pale golden in colour, decent malt taste, with a sweet and sugary finish, light bodied with a balanced carbonation, an easy drinking beer.

Pours a nice deep gold with a small white cap that fades quickly. No lacing. smells hoppy with a bit of grainyness but, its not offensive like some macros. flavour is very clean and consists of very well balanced malt and hops. Follow is clean with no lingering aftertaste. High drinkability. Medium carbonation and a thin to medium mouthfeel.

Sometimes you have to wonder if the Czechs know beer. This beer is a clear golden pour with a generous white frothy head. Heavy effervescence is on display. The aroma is grainy malt, with a definite hoppish presence. The flavour is nicely balanced between the malt, and the hops. But both are very weak.

On tap in a beach bar in Jurmala, Latvia. Golden colour, moderate head. Distinctly malty aroma and flavour with notes of butterscotch (diacetyl). Moderate hops in the finish.

It poured a somwehat cloudy gold colour, not translucent. The aroma was strong and malty with some grainy tones. It is slightly thick on the tongue with very little carbonation. The taste is slightly malty with a toasty aftertaste. This is another Czech beer I would have no problem trying again. -

Dark yellow in colour, white head that initial head was quite large which dissipates quickly but doesn't leave, some lacing. The aroma has a nice hop presence, rather grassy, herbal and clean. The flavour was again nicely hopped (very herbal), crisp, some pale malt, light fruit. Moderatly bitter mouthfeel, medium body, high carbonation. Finishes lingering, moderatly hoppy. Another beer that I would love to try fresh on tap.

Can: Poured a yellowish color pilsner with a big white foamy head with good retention. Aroma of what seems like corn and adjunct is quite surprising since I didn’t though Czech brewery were using those ingredient. Taste is also bland with very little malt and no hops at all. Overall, I was quite disappointed with this one and was expecting closer to Pilsner Urquell then this.

I tried this one immediately following a Zlaty Golden Pheasant, and found it in every way to be maybe just one notch less in every category but for the colour. Aroma was almost nil, but at least taste, mouthfeel and aftertaste were acceptable, just not as good as the bird.

Not a bad pilsner. Smooth from the beginning till the end but not alot of flavour and it is a touch on the grassy side. A fair bit of hops. Average Apperance and Aroma
