This is not a great wheat beer. This is certainly not a big seller at the Beer Store. It's a watery yellow in colour with a very faint wheaty aroma. The flavour was rather bland with a slight skunky taste to it. Not a very good beer in the Upper Canada line.

The first thing you notice about this wheat beer is it's clear (Kristal weizen)......no murky milky look to it that characterized the European name-sake. Negative points right?....not! This is a Canadianized clear weissbeir for broad market Canadian palates and it hits that market on the money. Canadians traditionally like a clear crisp beer or ale. This delivers with the unique dry wheat malt taste....an excellent summer patio beer. Pours a crystal clear light yellow with low carbonation and a smallish head that goes quickly to a lace ringing the glass edge. Tart sharp aromas of hop and light grains. Starts crisp, builds to a medium sharp palate punctuated with the lemon-grass hops and finishes as a dry biscuit taste, A good Canadian macro weizen but not to the tastes of traditional hefeweiss drinkers.

Variety pack. Light yellow in color with a white head. Light lager like beer. Good beer. Slightly malty. Well made beer.

I was going to save this for a nice warm sunny day but since that's not going to happen for a while around here I figured I'd go ahead and drink it. Golden colored, decent amount of head, really not much aroma. Very light, not a ton of flavor, but enough to make it a refreshing beer. Slight malts with a little zing of lemon in there. Very basic but decent.

I had this brew for the first time a few years back on a very hot summer day after work. My friend and I tried this patio-bar in Ottawa and they had this wheat beer on promo. We decided to try it. Wow ! It was so refreshing, we asked for seconds within a few minutes. Now I am trying this one on a cold winter night, the day after our first snow storm. Poured a light golden colour with a shortlived white head and medium lacing. It is very clear and has hardly any scent, just slight malt. On the other hand, the taste is pretty good. It started crispy, went to a bitter middle and slowly kicked in a nutty / bread finish. Better in summer, very, very refreshing.

Not as cloudy as your German wheats, with a lighter finish than the German styles. Some of the German brands are almost "chewy" in their mouthfeel, while this one had a much lighter body. Nice aroma, with an average head. I had this with my famous prime rib at Christmas dinner and is was quite enjoyable.
