I first tried this before Sleemans bought them. After Sleemans bought them, I tried it again
.
This is a golden beer with a light head that is bubbly. The aroma is earthy with hints of grass and malt. The mouthfeel is crisp and slightly carbonated. The flavour is fuller than a lot of Canadian lagers and a full-bodied with hints of malt, grass, and yeast. A good beer experience. It tastes best when VERY cold.

12pk from Beer Store. Pours an average size foamy white head that dissipates to a thin coating. Has a pale yellowish/golden appearance. Lacing is ok. Medium retention. Aromas of grains and light wheaty notes. Flavours are mostly grainy and bready malts. Not really much else. Easy to drink and goes down fairly well, just missing a little bit flavours to stand out from other lagers.

this was a very smooth beer , goes down really nicely . I would recommend this one on a hot summer day. You can drink a truckload of these and still not feel too heavy.

A wonderful beer. A golden lager that is clear and crisp. The aroma is faint but has traces of malt. The mouthfeel is crisp and clean with good carbonation. The taste is mild on the tongue with hints of malt and grass.

after the lawson creek(honey wheat)disaster last week "ICK!!",i am quite pleased with the price vs. taste. at $7.99 a 12 pack i thought this beer would taste a little rough around the edges, but it does not, actually its quite good!! :) i have made it a staple beer for myself and house guests. overall a good one to keep around in the fridge. a smoooooth operator! :)

Surprise find at my local grocery store, last twelve pack of bottles on the shelf and at a price I couldn't refuse. Overall this is a decent lager slightly different than the more popular Canadien Lagers. The beer poured a dark golden color with a thick head that ultimately dwindled down. The aroma was crisp and fresh, malty with a slight grainy chaser. The mouthfeel is thin but this can be expected in your standard lager. The flavor is a pleasant surprise. Slightly malty with a very faint hint of sweet grain adjuncts. There is a small bittering finish that is also crisp to the palate. Nothing special but a nice and solid choice among many more popular brands.

This is the second or third time I sampled UCB's lager the other times it was on tap but the low carbonation of this bottled offereing puts it in that catagory for smoothness. This is a very good representation of a premium quality Canadian lager. The fact it hasn't the mega brew "soadie pop" carbonation scores extra with me. Is it head and shoulders above Molson's, Labatt's lagers? Well, yes....it is better than their national brands.....it is on par and better than many of their local brands. At any rate this beer is easy to take with big lager characteristics and a good process that makes it repeatably good. It isn't overly distinct in my mind but it is a good quality lager every lager drinker should sample. I'll never turn one of these down and I'll buy it over national brands when I'm at a pub.

Finally sampled out of the bottle, and my ratings for that sampling are exactly the same as the draught version I had some time ago. Very nice, easy going, quaffable lager.
