Bottle. Pour is light brown with a medium white head. Aroma and flavor of light caramel, light brown sugar, toasted malt, milk chocolate, and slight bourbon. Finish is thin with a hint of vanilla.

I had this beer at Molly Cool's in Milwaukee. The bourbon tasted a bit molassasy to me. But otherwise, a nice beer. The color was a rich brown and the flavor, overall, was smooth and consistent. Solid brew.

Crack a bottle and the first thing you notice is that it has a very unique and pleasant aroma that consists of malts, coffee, roast and bourban. Pours a light coffee color with a nice sudsy head that takes its sweet ass time. taste is very very well balanced with the bourban and roast. Has a sweet kick at the end with a littly bite of bourban. This is a delight to drink.

Interesting beer and I can see this having some serious potential. But I think the brewers left this beer in the barrels juuuust a bit long, because the whiskey and wood really dominated this brown ale. Beers this delicate sometimes get overrun with the whiskey compounds, and this was really overrun. The beer pours out a semi-cloudy chesnut brown body, with an off-white/light tan head. The head melts out quickly and left no lacing behind. Aroma is light whiskey, some moldy walnuts, a touch of vanilla and maple syrup. Flavor is dominated by the whiskey. Vanilla, woody, some rubbing alcohol, and a mouth pucking tannic teabag flavor. Really dry, which doesn't help balance out the whiskey. Mouthfeel is a little hot, rather electric and distracting. If they could leave a little of the residual sweetness in there, and back off the whiskey aging a smidge, this would be a really nice beer. -

Aroma is malty with a hint of bourbon and burnt chocolate. Appearance is a very clear red-mahogany with weak head. Mouthfeel is about average, taste is deffinitely more burnt chocolate and coffee followed by little hints of bourbon. Overall an average beer.

Pour is reddish brown with very little head. I notice bourbon right away in the aroma along with caramel and molasses. Taste mirrors the aroma with plenty of sweetness and just a hint of dark fruit. Not bad; a good introduction into barrel aged beers.

Got this in a trade with wnoble. Pours a reddish brown with a one-finger head that settled to a frothy coating that lasted. There was decent lacing throughout. Nose was maple, vanilla, bourbon, molasses, and caramel. The taste included some oak, vanilla, caramel malt, molasses, and brown sugar. The finish is sweet with some alcohol tinge. The moutfeel is on the light side of medium, decent carbonation, creamy and a little sticky. This wasn’t a bad beer but not one I would go out of my way to have again.

Mahogany body with a half inch khaki head and stringy lacing. Sweet caramel, noble hops, wood, vanilla, and malt scents. Big and smooth, nice and clean. Sweet malt with a backseat hop presence. Oak and vanilla with caramel, nutty cereal, floral hops and toasted bread. Very nice layered brown.

Bottled@Monks Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Ruby red colour with small off-white head. Aroma is red fruits, some bourbon barrel, mild chocolate as well as some slight old coffee and nuts. Flavour is quite much the same along with plum/raisins and some slight toasted notes.
