Fargo Brothers Hefeweizen is brewed in the tradition of a Bavarian-style weißbier with a clove-like flavor and aroma with banana undertones and no bitterness. The unfiltered yeast makes this beer cloudy.

sampled from bottle: Poured a basically dark, clear, golden colour with a small white head. Aroma was very faint of cloves, grass and possibly stale gum. Taste was rather dissapointing, hint of fruit, pear slices- mouthfeel was weak with little cream or even a semi-wheaty texture. A little suprised they went with this brew, style was poorly represented.

Poured a dark yellow color good head not much lacing. Aroma was lots of bananas. Flavor was overwelmed by bananas not much else in there not the best within syle by any means.

Bottle from Bockyhorsey, poured a tawny tan color, not really amber, no red-orange looking hues, good initial head, miserable retention and lacing. The aroma was bananas, like banana baby food. The flavor was all bananas, no spicing or phenolic character, all bananas. Mouthfeel was light for the style, moderate to light carbonation, not an impressive exmaple of the style. Thanks for the brew, Bill and Wendy!

This is a fine domestic version of a Bavarian hefeweizen. It pours a cloudy medium-yellow color with a thin white head. The nose is mild spice and fruit with faint grain and grass. The taste is distinctly wheat and fruit; light banana but melon as well. For me the highlight of this brew is the finish; long and a nice blend of flavors. Very tasty - it went very well with the crawfish at Tyranena's hop-luck last Thursday.

This hefeweizen pours with a golden body with a very slight cloudiness, topped by a thick head that disappears in seconds, leaving little lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet and yeasty with a slight banana note and a touch of citrus. The flavor is slightly sweet yet sour and yeasty with an underlying bitterness and a touch of citrus. Light bodied, dry and crisp.
