A bright amber colored beer with a big sudsy textured light beige-white head rising above. There's decent hang time on the head. A moderate ringlet is left. Sweet citrus fruit and bittering citric hops dominate the profile in both the nose and in the tasting. Some bready malt is added to the tasting. Crisp effervescent body.

I was expecting more out of a beer with 'Heavy Handed' in the name. A cloudy light rust colour with an off-white head. Aroma is certainly a lot of citrusy hops but there is nothing else to back it up as the malt tones are quite weak. The flavour is as one sided as the aroma. Even a good IPA needs balance to be a great IPA

As one of the 8-10 wet-hopped beers I tried this season, this ranks pretty low. Not that is bad by any means, just a pretty average IPA and missing the freshness in aroma and taste that are associated with fresh wet-hop beers.

Pours out in a crystal clear deep reddish amber colour with a small dissapearing off-white head. Crisp and resinous aroma of peaches, cookies, mint and Seville oranges. Medium-bodied with crisp, yet sappy notes ofresin, grapefruit, caramel, apricots and peaches. Long crisp bitter finish ofgrass, resin, grapefruit and peaches.

Murky orange pour with a white head. Nice lacing around the glass. Aroma of citrus and hops hits you right away. Taste is of hops and citrus. Not as hoppy as I like my IPA's but this is very drinkable.

On tap at the Alchemy in Madison: Pours a cloudy copper colour with a huge white head. ARoma is super hopped, floral, with noticeable pine and grapefruit notes. Taste is very crisp, chewy and citrusy all in one.

Really off the beaten path for an IPA. Complex in a really good way. Sort of treading water between the APA and IPA realms, regardless I thought it rocked out. Fresh citrus aroma, I can sense the fresh whole hop flowers that went into this beer. Heavy malt nose to boot. Thick, dark copper in color with a lasting, creamy looking tan head and tons of lacing. Creamy and bitter with a full body. Smooth, very malty and rather thick. Not your typical flavor per style, this one seems to play more for the malt with the fresh hops contributing just enough to do their part. Biscuits, nuts, and toffee. A touch of brown sugar and honey. Grainy and a bit grassy with a subtle yet sharp hop flavor of pine and citrus. Spicy tea and vanilla bean. Yeah this is a good beer experience.

Very hoppy, but not bitter. Finished smooth, but left a bit of an aftertaste that made be think I wouldn't want to drink more than a couple of these. Overall, it was a nice beer.

This one pours a very clear copper color. There is plenty of caramel malt in the flavor, but this is very moderately hopped for an IPA. It is lightly sweet but not excessively so.

Bottled. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is hay and hops along with some mild eggy hints. Flavour is hops, hay and some grass. Not very exciting. Big grassbomb.
