The brain child of Eddie Holley (Ale Yeah!), Koko Buni is a coconut coffee porter that is rich and delicious. Starting with a deep dark porter which was ‘dry-spiced’ with freshly toasted coconut flake, Tahitian vanilla beans, and cocoa nibs, for a week. Next we added the perfect amount of Ethiopian coffee from our friends at Steady Hand Pour House. A true delight.

Rich, smoky aroma has a good note of coffee and hints of chocolate, vanilla and - yes, coconut. Comes out of the growler a sable so dark it might as well be black with a very thick and rather persistent light tan head that "pillows" as you drink away. Roast coffee flavor fills the mouth with chocolate, vanilla and malty flavors and a hint of coconut that nicely compliments the chocolate. Sweetness is at just the right level, neither subtle nor cloying. Smooth texture has decent fizz and body and a powdery hint. A truly excellent beer - pity this appears to be a one-and-done deal.
