Bomber from Mark via CanBIF- 2006 release A brisk pour puts a deep red-cola hued ale in the glass with a massive creamy off white cap that lasts and laces well...thick stick malts in this one. Aroma is the point of a winter ale and this one delivers: Cinnamon, grassy hops, nutmeg, pumpkin pie, sweet malts, a bit of fresh chopped walnut. Full bodied, malty-spicey characterm rich creamy mouth feel. Profile: Up front rich pudding dough malt mixture so thick you chew trough it... mingles with the ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg..reminds me of liquid pumpkin pie filling....mid palate mild complexity as the malts spices and hops create some interesting undercurrents like spiced walnuts, sweet cedar, ginger snaps, spiced orange peel....pleasing to allow a gulp some time on the palate....finish is long, wet and spicey, big cookie dough decernment then a spice-medicinal hop rush just at the end that really sets this rich beer off. I love it!...it tastes like a malt-rich spiced bock....probably the best Xmas offering in Canada this year.

If you like ginger, this is a beer you need to buy or smuggled to you. Pours out a nice and clear deep amber with a tiny rocky light brown head with minor lacing. From the time I pried off the cap I was assaulted by ginger. If it was Ginger from Gilligan's Island I would've been ok with it. I'll have to say that this much liquid ginger would normally make me retch but Tree gets away with it. I also noted some warm malts and coriander. Taste is dominated by ginger that is immediately followed by a hot bitterness that soon fades. Toasted malts find their way in there too. The hard bitterness and spice rule over anything else that doesn't taste like ginger. I found this to be light to medium bodied. Mouthfeel was nothing special but notable for sure. It's zingy and sort of smooth with a very lengthy top-of-the-back-of-the-mouth burn from the spice that never goes away. All that ginger and I still managed to down the whole 650ml. Good job Tree.

Clear reddish brown, fairly light looking body not as dark as I was expecting it to look, thick tan head that wasn’t to tall in the glass but had awesome retention, to bad this brew wasn’t darker or it would have gotten higher marks. Smells hoppy and bitter, citrus and cinnamon round off the smell, the aroma overall reminds me of a candle shop, smell is mild but pleasant. Taste like a candle shop to, but not as overpowering as a candle shop, fawk I hate walking into those shops and being knocked to my knees with a sent so strong it almost kills you. Bitter and slightly hoppy, the candle shop and hops combine to make a soapy flavor but it works for me, nice malt backbone. Nice mouth feel medium bodied and smooth, very little after taste, just a slight bitterness lingers. Beer taste good but not great, not sorry I bought it but was slightly disappointed.

Pours a lovely copper color with a tannish head that vanished quickly, the aroma is malty and spicy... not exactly what spice but i knows it smells and taste like the spice that mom uses in her raisan pudding on xmas day dinner... there is also some wheaty flavor as well (to go with the spice) the mouthfeel is soft and subtle with the spices appearing in the aftertaste is it tickles the back of the mouth/tongue. Incredibly easy to drink and very festive, too much tho wouldnt be a good thing! but a must try for the season! :)

This poured a nice medium copper colour along with a smallish, foamy light brown head, which disappeared rather quickly. Clear and well carbonated, along with some sediment in the bottle which I poured in as well. Aroma was indeed spiced; don't ask me which spices, though, as I've got no clue. Taste was just odd; mouthfeel was okay but I'm undecided as to whether I liked the taste or not; I'm leaning towards not.
