This full bodied Red Ale pulls caramel and spice flavours, with a nice balanced finish. The 45 in the name represents the bitterness units and the name Hop Head comes from our signature India Pale Ale...so when you see Hop Head, you know that no matter the beer style, you'll taste flavour and authenticity

Like mmmmbeer says, good for yard work. Exellent entry beer for someone who thinks rickards red is falvour. In fact, it seems to be a clean, redish, rickards red, but bitter instead of headache inducing sweet. Big fan, drank six while bolting a new climbing route! safe thing to do on rappel.... On the topic of the beer though, really enjoyed, simple, clean, lemon, "red beer tastes" but with a dry, slightly lip pursing bitterness that invited more and more large mouthfuls. Will drink again if they make more but it has been a year since the last batch.

Crystal clear dark copper with lots of reds and bright brown glowing in the glass. A average sized head with excellent retention was produced during the pour that created tons of roapy lacing. Aroma had lots of metallic hops with nuts and some sour. Taste was nutty toasted malts with lemon and bitter hops in the background. The bitterness lingers in the after taste for a long while. Taste is crisp a clean what makes a dangerous beer to drink, I could pound these back all night long. 9 volt carbonation on the tung. When beer starts to warm up the brew becomes smoother and caramel starts to appear. Not a great beer but easy drinking and clean would be great for yard work.
