Calling this a Grand Cru is just a mockery of what a Grand Cru really is. Hell, this is barely even a BSA and even with that I have a hard time accepting that. Nothing in this beer give me a feeling of drinking the "brewers best", and actually quite the opposite.

The beer pours out a very light amber/gold color with a thinnish head. A light fruity nose that I thought of apples or peaches initially. Sweetness really takes over the aroma and makes it unbearable. Flavors of grass, sweet malts, fruits, spices get wrapped up in some kind of weird acidic/funkified bitter finish. Very strange beer that I did not care for in the least.

Tasted at the May Northern California Beer Tasting. This Belgian strong ale pours a deep golden amber color. Little to small head. Aroma is malty and sweet. A medium to lighter bodied BSA. The malts are caramel and sweet. A touch of funk. But I couldn’t keep thinking “Belgian Malt Liquor’. Bad bottle maybe? Touch of cardboard and some funk. Flat carbonation. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet and funky.

Golden colour, with white big head. Aroma is grass, malts, some hops and a bit alcohol. Flavour is very big caramel malts along with some real grassy notes. Aftertaste is a mix of caramel, grass and hay. Very pleasantly done, but nothing really mindblowing.
